What is the improvement over the stock wheel? To be honest it is not an aesthetically pleasing wheel.

The alcantara wrap and the flat bottom are great. It feels so much better than the stock wheel. I'll give you my track thoughts after the next track day. Also, you need to see the wheel in person to appreciate it..............Phil

I think that wheel is sweet, but the stock wheel is just so right that I can't imagine making the change.

The improvement over the stock leather wheel is the increased grip provided by the alcantara material. The blue stripe also supposedly reinforces the amount of steering input that the driver is giving without having to take his/her eyes off the road.

However, the flat bottom design is a deterioration over stock, as this wheel actually takes up more real estate than the round wheel in order to accomodate the flat bottom.

Not correct....these wheels are exactly the same size. It doesn't take up any more space than the stock wheel. I checked it right after the install because I wanted to be sure it wasn't a larger wheel................Phil

Thanks for the Luv Shop around for the wheel and find the best price. We have a few vendors on here that you can try. There's also a DIY on the install if you are inspired to do it yourself.........Phil

I installed mine with only the DIY for backup
It's pretty easy
Just make sure to disconnect the battery so no airbags blow up

What are you waiting for......it's one of those mods you don't know you need until you do it. Plus I needed something else to add to my signature......keeping up with yours is becoming a tough azz task ..........Phil
