Just curious why the switch to silver? Just to mix it up?

Hey all, following up. Got the pedals installed last night. Pretty straightforward DIY, took about 30 minutes. Here's some before and afters with the finished product. Sorry the pictures aren't that great my phone camera and lighting both suck.

A couple of things worth mentioning:

1. The keen eye will notice I'm missing the screw on the top left of the brake pedal. I did drill the hole but the screw is too long and hits the metal post(?) behind the pedal. I don't think I missed the mark on the hole location but I've messaged Brian for clarification and asked if they sell shorter screws to fix my problem. The two screws that are in place are more than enough to secure the pedal, it's not going anywhere. But my OCD won't stand for this.

2. More keen eyes will notice that I did install the dead pedal over the stock dead pedal. I know this is a no-no and I went back and forth on this for a bit. Brian encouraged me NOT to remove the OEM dead pedal explaining that their product was designed to go over top of it. Time will tell if this bugs me enough to remove it. I figured I'd start with this before breaking off the OEM dead pedal and see how it goes.

As mentioned earlier having these installed really does make you notice how shitty the OEM pedals are - especially for an M car. These seem to suit it so much better, really completing the interior. Look, feel, and quality are top notch.

Lastly, Brian messaged me back on Friday about the Group Buy saying that they are looking in to it and will get back with more details. Stay tuned.

Look's pretty good, I might give these a try but with 6MT.

Are the pedals installed over the rubber part of the pedal on the car or do you have to remove the rubber part? Is there any area where it is unsafe to drill into the gas pedal? Possibly due to electronics within it?

You remove the rubber cover from the brake and clutch pedals for install. Gas pedal comes with self-tapping screws you drill directly in to OEM gas pedal. Dead pedal comes with 3m tape for install over existing dead pedal (or remove OEM dead pedal for install directly to carpet)

Regarding gas pedal - I don't believe any electronics are in the pedal itself but rather behind the pedal in the floor - to those more knowledgeable, please correct me if I'm wrong. I drilled top and bottom and don't seem to have any issues

looks great ! yeah the OEM pedals are a shame...

my 2001 anniversary maxima has better pedals than my E92. and we are talking about a 20 year old $30,000 car.

Spot on. Will just confirm that with the gas pedal the actual foot pedal part is plastic with no electronics and most aftermarket pedal manufacturers will instruct you to drill pilot holes first and then will also provide double sided tape to the gas pedal to ensure no movement even with screws. No way to effect the electronics in the gas pedal unless you don't pay mind to the drill bit length.

I wanted to follow up on this for all those about to install these pedals. Below is a picture of my pedals installed along with red x's marking places you should NOT screw. The first on the brake pedal I mentioned hits the metal pole support behind. The second I just found out after taking the car for a drive actually limits the compression of the accelerator pedal. Doesn't do anything to the electronics but does physically limit how far the pedal will travel. I removed it and it works fine but still frustrating. Please learn from my mistakes and don't add unnecessary holes to your pedals smh..
