When you took out the spun #1 and replaced it with the original one, did the engine “knock” right away?
Anything is possible. All i know, i had BE bearings and ARP installed at 50k. rod bearing 1 started knocking at 78k. When i replaced it with the original rod bearing, it did not knock during the 4 miles i drove it to the dealership and when i pulled the rod bearings again after the engine was pulled, i did not notice any additional wear besides the original 50k miles wear on that original rod bearing.

I'm a long time lurker, 1st time member (Hi everyone that sees this!) and would be interested in potentially buying your long block for a project. I joined in order to contact you not realizing that I wouldn't have initial access to PM's just yet. I can't PM you just yet but would be available to pick it up this weekend. If you feel comfortable doing so, just shoot me a PM w/ your contact info and let's try to make a deal!

That's not correct, where no1 main fails it would only take out the adjacent rod bearings (1 & 5). Each main bearing has its own oil feed.

Also the op update his other thread showing that no1 mains had indeed failed - https://www.m3post.com/forums/showth...1747467&page=9
