Did some roll racing (1/3 mile) with my E90 M3 yesterday at an air strip event. Got couple of very close wins vs some American muscle: Stock challenger hellcat 6mt, full bolt on V2 CTS-V (560WHP) and a stock C7 Z06. The Z06 was having 3 gear issues.

Was the only E90/E92 m3 racing so it was pretty fun to surprise the muscle boys with the M holding its own.
Car is DCT with ESS625 kit.

I had a mobile leather restorer come out. He had the codes for the interior colour and just sprayed them.
Took him an hour to clean the front seats and and an hour and a bit to spray them. Left for 12hrs to dry and that's it.

Now I'm thinking to have the rear ones done too. 😁

I’m surprised you all didn’t park in the back three corners of the lot.
As BMW drivers they should know there’s a 10 space minimum buffer rule!

I did this at The Mitty a couple years ago. Was a clean E36M and E46M parked on the grass with just enough space for me (E90M) to randomly parallel park in between. Walked off and saw them come back some time later. They were looking all around and laughing. Kept it a mystery hoping it made its way to one of their forums.

such a small "mod" but the satisfaction derived from each shift is huge

friend gave me his alcantra shift boot ... will have to get it tucked away better at some point

Snaps in under the hood. It’s pretty self explanatory once you look under

Installed M performance pedals

Installation was a snap. Just take your time drilling, and start with doing a smaller diameter pilot hole vs. before stepping up to larger bit sizes. Those that are complaining about the brake pedal taking too long to drill are probably rushing it.

One recommendation I would give though is that the paper templates are crap. I tried the first pedal and driller the 4 pilot holes based on the template and in the end they were still off.

What I ended up doing was:

1) Mark the first hole (using template is ok)....then drill that hole completely
2) Test fit and mount the pedal with just one in the first hole
3) Then take your hole punch and punch for the 3 remaining holes
4) Take your time drilling each hole one by one...and if you are anal, do a test fit after each hole to ensure that everything is still lining up

Drive to/from work, changed cabin air filters, wash/wax after a road trip this weekend.

Car is driving great, however can't stop wondering if my cold start 'rattle/clink' (1-2 seconds, mostly on cold starts, hit or miss when it happens) is something serious. A few threads on this referenced a vanos issue, but this appears to be one of the few issues posted on here that don't have a real determined solution, understanding of seriousness of the issue, or even the actual cause.

Giving cat-less another chance... I've had this x pipe in a closet for 18 months... purchased it for 50% off from TMS on clearance, couldn't resist the deal. I know it's gonna be loud but hopefully paired with the SS euro performance rear muffler it'll be bearable but it's a straight pipe. So far super impressed with the quality, even included all new hardware with stainless bolts and copper nuts for headers, header doughnuts and x-pipe brace hardware. Just please M3 gods no tickets from the 5-0...

Not sure how many miles were on the OEM Filter but was basically following the "change when it looks dirty" philosophy. Car was sluggish and could barely keep up with mini vans, etc. No light penetration through the element.
