The car is almost amazing though, just those corners cut to complete the build in most likely a rush is its downfall.
I think you are in the minority to say that something like this could be anything near amazing, maybe amazing in an antonym type of meaning :P

By amazing, I was referring to if he had actually turned it into a GT3 cup replica, not the path it was heading down.....

Oh! Most certainly not ever bound to be a GT3 Cup rep, no amount of work could make the aftermarket parts fit the bill. GMG however did have an amazing RSR and Cup build a couple years back, now those, those were amazing. These "tuners" just need to stop playing with other people's money.

Nothing beats GMG work....was just at their shop a few weeks ago. I'll gladly take a R8 LMS off their hands

I still dream of their caged AW E92 build a year or so back--perfection.

As it should. I firmly believe that shoddy work needs to be broadcasted for potential future clients to better educate themselves.

I don't ever recall them branding themselves or specializing in builds for performance oriented enthusiasts. I think they specialize in doing unique/custom things for people that like to park their cars and look at them...sort of like a West Coast Customs. Seems to me that the purchaser of this car was fairly sophisticated and I would be interested to understand the diligence performed prior to acquiring the car and finding out it was a Frankenstein underneath...but my guess it was not enough since he was 2,500 miles from the seller and probably relied on sellers representations to a large degree.

EDIT nevermind just read this: "I did not have a PPI completed. I almost never do because I look the car over myself and since I have a shop it makes more sense. I don't want to get into all the details, but I have a friend on the west coast that vouched for the car. Well he was obviously wrong and has been apologizing over and over again. It is ultimately my fault as I should of flown out"

Same here. M3 is staying, but GT4 is next. Nothing else comes close.

The new RWB looks awesome. Call me a hater, but I give much more props to people who "build" their own shit versus the guy dropping the car off at the shop and just taking pics and calling it "his build" while leaving a blank check for a shop to do all the work. Anyone can pay for a car to be put together.

Costs a shit ton more than buying car already done but way cheaper than paying someone else to do it for you. Certain satisfaction in getting to know your car intimately too.
