We recently changed the production method which almost completely eliminated the satin gloss. The finish is now very close to OEM.

Mine have no shine to them. I am not sure where you are getting them from but it's very dull as you can see in my pic. It looks great in light or dark.

Ooo now this interests me. I was hesitant due to the non-oem looking sheen as well. Do you have a side-by-side comparison photo with an oem dial?

The new gauge faces still have a little bit more grain compared to original ones (visible only in the light of course), but thanks to that they have much deeper colors - original gauge faces look dark gray compared to our black ones.

Thank you Bartek. Love my Grey CSL-like E9X M3 Gauges.
Looks like there is now a full line of BMW E-Series Gauges (E46 3-Series, E46 M3, M5, 135i, E9X 3-Series, etc.) https://venoxy.com/en/4-car-gauge-fa...tegory=4&n=175 ...with F3X and F8X M3/M4 custom gauges in the works. Who needs an Audi Digital Virtual Cockpit...HaHa. Cheers |

My clear plastic and the black surround are scratched like a cat got loose in my interior. The clear plastic does pop out and isn't held in place firmly, until the instrument cluster is screwed into the dash. Easy to clean, but electrostatic dust is hard to get out even with glass cleaner and a blow dryer. Looking to see if these BMW OEM parts are available separately, which I doubt. The black cluster surround behind the clear plastic is made of that icky BMW black matte interior coating that either peels or gets, well icky...so it is easy to scratch while removing dust.
My needles for fuel/oil temp are wacked. I may have to open her up again and check the plastic motors/gears. Will also try the plug in the cluster, turn the ignition on, and zeroize the needles...before snapping the needs back into the proper zero position. UPDATE: Fixed the needles...using this method. Of course now I have a pin hole in the gauge, which is apparent at night. Used a sharp pick tool even taped up to remove the needles in the car. Damn... Need a new clear plastic window and surround anyway...waiting on eBay foot a tappin'. Always cut up a business card or thin clear transparency with a slit and place it behind the needles to remove it with any tool to protect the thin gauge faces. Even cut the handles off your 2 plastic spoons to fit, while inside the car. Protect the steering wheel too...since there is not enough room to remove the cluster with tall paddle shifters. Tasteful mod even when it is 111deg F out in SoCal. One quick point... Get multiple colors/styles if you are unsure, since the items ship from Poland. Also get the black stock design in case you want to revert back to the original OEM gauges. Yes, they make carbon fiber black. Good for an extra 5 HP. Grey is the best color. Red with a Fox Red interior is also a nice touch. Dark Blue might be krazy kool with LeMans Blue and Interlagos Blue. Venoxy also has an eBay StoreFront. https://www.ebay.com/str/venoxygaugefaces Cheers Last edited by nyc_dude; 08-23-2020 at 06:26 PM.. |

What is the best way to get a hold of venoxy? The install for my gauges went well but the tachometer has two blemishes (under the top layer), and slight bleed through where the red meets the black. I messaged the info email, contact page and a reply to an email I got from them with some instructions. I need a replacement tachometer.

Hello Mr. Stroke,
I really like this particular style: https://venoxy.com/en/1m-style-rings...andard_mphkm_h Can the black area be done in the carbon fiber style? Thanks, Mike |

Note this video is of an upgraded E90 335i instrument cluster with brighter LEDs and M3 surrounds. Too easy. Not so simple... - Headlights have to be On. - Adjust to max brightness using the same switch to start the procedure on the stalk...not the BC Button. Ok...it you want to play with your instrument clusters and watch the needles dance as a final check...
- Hold the trip reset 10 sec to get to the Hidden Menu. - Hold to get to the 1.__ menus. Then cycle through from 1 .__ to 21.__ - If you see 1.00 then you are in the submenus. Hold again to get back to 1.___ - 19.00 to unlock by adding the last 5 of your VIN (not 6!!) - 2.00 to perform the KI Cluster Test -- push once to start the test. Watch the needles dance. 2.00 KI Test (Instrument Cluster) 7.00 Engine Temperature 9.00 Battery Voltage (11.5 to 12.5 V is good...below 11V is not so good, <10V is new AGM battery time after 7-8 years) 19.00 UNLOCK Menu Cheers |

For those of you who calibrated your clusters using perfekt toolkit, how many starting offset 'steps' did you find it took to move +/- 1-2mm?
Im assuming the lower the motor steps number is , the closer to 0 you should be. |

At the end of the day, it's probably better to reopen the cluster and re-set the needle. |

My fuel gauge is always slightly above the max line when I fill it up. I swore I fixed it when I did everything last time. Suppose I should get to it and add a few steps eh?
