FCP is definitely a lifesaver to allow me to allocate my $$$ for Mods and years of enjoyment!!
Doesn't FCP treat the replacements as a return/refund on the previously purchased set? Thus you'd be out the difference between the first set and what you paid today. Least that's been my experience with their life time warranty.

Let us know how it goes, for those that haven't decided on their replacement strategy. Thx!

That's my understanding. You need to buy your new parts and then once you send your old broken stuff back they refund your original purchase.

i'm reading it as GotV8 purchased the 1st set from FCP
otherwise the lifetime replacement wouldn't apply

interesting that the original TA went out so early at 33k miles

Yes, that's correct. But the warranty procedure is:
1. Buy replacement part
2. Send back original part purchased from FCP referencing the original purchase order #
3. FCP refunds you for the original purchase order.

Thus if the prices went up. You're only getting refunded for the original order and thus lower price point.

ah, i see what you're saying now

i'm going to have to look through my past order to see if that's how it happened for my replacement orders

no, they refund you the cost of the *replacement parts* regardless of how much you paid for the original parts. I have used their warranty service twice and that was how it worked. If it worked the way you suggest, it would not be a *free lifetime replacement* as promised, only a refund.

Looks like you're correct - Only risk is if they stop carrying the brand you bought.

just started new job this month
been trying to figure out the parking situation
it took me a few days to find the other entrance which is a more convenient entrance
and i have been trying out different spots on different floors

i think i found the ideal parking spot
it is basically at the farthest point in the parking garage but i like it

yesterday i did park where the black car is parked now
it is even more protected because it has the pillar on one side and the corner blank space on the other
BUT it is an awkward spot to get into because immediately next to the white Honda is a stairwell with bollards so it took a multi-point turn to get into that parking spot

and even if i wanted to park in that spot, this black audi seems to park there regularly because i have seen it there twice this week
so i'm fine with the current spot i'm in

This looks excellent, great mods. Well done!

parallel parked between wall in front of it and pillar. No one can park next to me.

Limp mode! Just got the 0027E4 code. Probably my vacuum pressure sensor after spilling some brake fluid
Do I need to change the vacuum line also or is it possible to just change the sensor?

I changed just the sensor. A little tight and tedious, but about a 30 minute job. You will want an extendable magnet for the bolts and a wobble extension helped a lot. Easier to leave the wires connected to pull it up out of the abyss.

I doubt you will find just the sensor. I just tossed the lines in the spare parts drawer.

I’m actually sitting at the service center’s lounge . And waiting for my car. Just got my yearly oil change done.

And also, I finally bought the BMW m performance exhaust for my car. It is the first mod I’ve ever done since buying the my M3 back in 2012.

I’m finally thinking of doing some mods to her. Mainly because my uncle got a brand new NSX and he’s showing off and wanting to run circles around my M3 lol. I’m sure he’ll succeeds but I plan on making him work for it.

Thanks! I started searching for the number on the sensor and found a MAP sensor from a e93 M3 with the same number on the sensor (and looks the same also). Is it possible that it's the same sensor?
I assume the last 6 digits are production date, they are all different on every MAP sensor I've found.

As long as it from an e90, e92 or e93 M3 it is the same. You are not looking for a MAP sensor, it is a brake vacuum sensor. There is a manifold pressure sensor on some non M3 models that looks the same, different sensor.

Took it for an early morning rip before the Formula 1 race. This car still puts a smile on my face every time I drive.

Took the e90 out with the fam for some dinner after a long ass day of car shopping for my wife. Nice to hear those S65 revs climb after spending hours in 4 cyl. mid size crossovers.
