I replaced my Power/EDC/Off switch today after a 2nd button broke off. Yes it was $200, but seemed like the replacement buttons were tacky and nearly as expensive too. Bought from FCP, so if a button ever flies off this one, their warranty will cover it
Also the YouTube videos on how to replace it were not very accurate in my case. I found that after lifting the shift boot, I could just push on the back of the switch where the wires attach to the switch and it popped right out. No tools required. And I lifted the foam below the shifter and the connector was right there.... didn't need to pull the console to get to it 5 minutes max and looks like new

I had to remove my door handle on my truck and the first video said after you remove the screw just pull it out with force. Well that's what I did and I ended up breaking all the tabs. So i rewatched this dudes video and paused it after he pulled the handle out and noticed that he had broken all the tabs as well. But he never made any mention of it. It was a well produced video so I though it was legit. To many clowns think they can make it big on the internet. I miss the days where you could just buy a Haynes manual that was comprehensive. |

Those were HELL, I feel for you. I have DCT, so one less pedal to install, but i also got the matching dead pedal on mine which was tricky. I removed the oem dead pedal and drilled it right into the floor board. It's holding up pretty good and really completes the look.

I finished polishing this thing today. I had never polished anything before so I was learning as I went. I was armed with a fairly inexpensive rotary polisher, it sounded daunting from what I read online, but I just took my time (too much time, probably 15 hours if you include all the claying) and went slowly and it seems to have paid off. The white paint seemed to be pretty forgiving to a rookie like me. I think it went from being a 6-8 footer to a 3 footer.
Recall work this Friday and rod bearings next Tuesday! Feels good to restore these cars a little bit at a time. |

Clocked a 4 second 0-60 time in the top down DCT e93, Harrop supercharged with test pipes. Not bad for a fatty going up a slight incline.

Not today but over the weekend. 180k maintenance:
- valve covers - fuel tank breather - thermostat - water pump - oil filter housing gasket - motor oil - tranny oil - diff oil - rear brake rotor - adjusted parking brake - air filter - cabin filter - belts - belt tensioners and pulleys head and cam looks perfect for a 180k engine I say. Coolants were still very nice and blue as well. Not bad at all. ![]() Last edited by e92zero; 09-03-2021 at 10:04 AM.. |

Bilster Berg, Mouse Trap
Jumped into the Mouse Trap at Bilster Ber (Germany)
A corner with gradient -26 degrees!!! Bilster Berg race track, Mousetrap curve – Inspired by the legendary Streif downhill course in Kitzbühel, BILSTER BERG also has a Mausefalle or “Mousetrap”, the most treacherous section with the steepest downhill gradient of 26 percent and the greatest compression

Installed handle cup protectors and door edge guards. They are barely visible from distance.

Installed a version 3 P3 gauge. Nice to verify boost, AFRs, and IATs. Also gives a 0-60 and 60-130 timer based on the speed in the ecu. 👍
Decent airflow through the vent retained. Looks sharp |
