The good news here is that Scott26 just reconfirmed that this is not the special send-off edition that BMW has planned for the E92:
http://www.f30post.com/forums/showpo...0&postcount=12 The CRT-equivalent for the E92 (with performance improvements) is still forthcoming.

Certifying a new/higher performance engine for a few months would be very anti-BMWNA. |

You can get red stitching on Mini's, but on a BMW, it's $5,000 more. Quote:
And I'm SURE IT WON'T COME HERE. Remember, SCOTT26 is not involved with the US cars. .

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Yeah, I was assuming that was basically understood given BMW's track record with shafting the NA market. I hope that some of those parts can be sourced and retrofitted, though.

WOW. I have owned every generation of M3 and a # of many other M cars. I don't get all of the anger and frustration that most of you display? Quit ur cryn and mod your own car if you like. I just took delivery of a 2012 FS and I have to tell you the car looks great in-person. I wanted the black wheels, the CF and alot of the other black components. I figure in 24-36 mos, my reslae on my "stock" M3 will be higher towards the next gen car. So the brake lever is tacky, I can deal with it or change it it if really bothers me. The overall packege puts a smile on my face... To each his own but chill on the negativity. Go live in Europe and you can spend 150k on the limited edition when it comes for the extra 30-35hp. These threads are supposed to be cooler than the typical Roundel rants that I read....

The interior is the best element (stitching, CF) IMO.

It's not very attractive in person, I'm afraid.

Re
Did they mention ride height is 10mm lower?-this indicates suspension difference.
I just don't understand why in Europe will cost double the US price?? And the handbrake with "M Power"...I can't find any on ebay, lol. |
