I've owned 3 cars in my life and all of them were manual transmission. Regardless of how fast a computer may shift for me, it cannot give driving pleasure to me.

Hello y'all,

Newest member here. Just got my '12 6MT E93 2 weeks ago. Couldn't ever drive a non-manual car.

Now to figure out a new shifter a thinking about gettin the M5 shift knob. And a VT-650 ...

Don't think about the shift knob. Just do it. Well worth the $120 and 30 minutes of time to do the mod. I have it and it vastly improves the way it shifts. Its' the way the car should have come from the factory.

I feel like it shifts perfect the way it is. Light with no notchiness. Maybe my car and my feel is anomaly. I hate heavy shift knobs.

Stock --> F10 M5 --> UUC SSK + F10 M5 --> UUC SSK + IND extender w/AMS urethane knob.

Finally found the absolute perfect setup... Hot knife through butter

Do you like that shift knob? It looks too tall for a DD. Just wondering.

Love it. I like it high but the shifter is hight adjustable and the extension is also whatever custom size you want so it can be set lower. I went with 1/4" shorter than standard.
