Nice chatting redpriest and thanks for the tip going around turn 3. Someday I'll grow some balls like u but in the meantime I did get faster and learned a nice line there.

He's a dedicated man. He's got that fire inside him. If he started on karts as a kid, I have no doubt he would be a pro and we'd be watching him race on tv.

While I'm looking for free mouse pads and koozies in the vender booths, he's studying his race data.
I have a picture of him to prove that lol

Getting the rear loose on the M3 for the first time on track with NT01s. Some moments were frightening TBH, like an 80-90 MPH skid at T2 that I managed to control (no clip of that).

You let me pass on short straight before turn 12 and I almost didn't make it. Pfc08 are pretty damn good. Maxxis rc1 are pretty damn good too
yea, i didn't hear what his complaint was. open passing was new to me and definitely took some getting used to and i think i crowded people a few times. i think i did a good job of keeping out of the way of faster people though.

It has been working great so far for the bike. The Execuhitch setup is similar to what you see installed in Europe where the receiver is hidden. Instead of a ball, you can also get a standard 1.25" or 2" attachment. My bike rack was 1.25" so that's what was in the pictures. Not planning on a trailer, but will use my hitch haul once I get some dedicated track wheels/tires. It swaps out the stock bumper so it's easy to return to stock when I sell the car. It does add probably 15 pounds to the car though.

i got a question for you guys that frequently change brake pads. do you open your brake fluid reservoir when spreading the pistons? is it putting harmful stress on the piston seals, or reservoir by not opening the cap?
the first time i did it, i took the cover off to watch the fluid level, but did not remove the cap. everything seemed fine.
a buddy suggested removing the cap to ventilate the system. i had it in my head that not opening the cap except when necessary to add fluid/etc. was optimal to avoid expose the fluid to air/moisture if i didn't need to. thoughts?

also, got a free bottle of liquimoly fuel system cleaner at bimmerfest. anyone ever use it (or something similar) on their s65?

I've never opened the cap and never had problems. Unless you've Topped off with worn pads before it shouldn't over flow.

You should start high and come down you'll be faster for sure. You can get on gas earlier to be faster approaching 3. But I'm slower than you now so who knows lol

I will be coming with a vengeance now though. Ha

I'll have to try that. I experimented with different lines through the bowl and found I liked it down low, but a high-low transition might be the line to try.
I was either trying a mid line or a low line. I was more comfortable with he low line. People mention the wall being intimidating, but I honestly didn't even look at it... I can imagine taking your eyes off the exit would mess people up big time.

I open the bleeder screw so any nasty bits that have settled out into your caliper come out and don't go back up the line.

How much fluid do you use like that? Is it just a quick open, or do you leave it open while pushing the pucks back in?

Yeah I was driving behind you with a passenger couple times thinking hmm he must be experimenting haha.

For our cars since power and heavy you want to enter fast and exit fast.

Let's try for jun 24th. I'm gonna let work know tomorrow that I'm out that day for sure.

I gotta beat you there!

i would like to try that high-low transition. what i had been doing was full throttle until the car started pushing up, then gently lifting (never brakes) until i could feel the turn-in comeback to the car and balance the turning/throttle until i was back at full throttle.

not sure about june... depends on how hot it is. i'm off that day. might check and see if i can squeeze a laguna seca trip in this summer. otherwise, i'll be returning to acs with speeddistrict on 11/19.

I'm sure it'll be blisteringly hot that day, lol, like it always is. I'm almost counting on it, so I can see if I go into limp mode with all these upgrades

I need to get under 2 min, would be amazing if I could accomplish that when it's a billion degrees out.

I'm about to order the Rogue Engineering front tension arm bushings, anyone tried these and liked them? I've read a few positive reviews and no negative. One person mentioned that it makes the steering wheel feel more communicative. They also importantly noted that once you install them you can't turn it off! As these are still more conservative than monoball spherical bearings I think I'll be okay.

Haven't looked into theirs, but I'm interested in hearing opinions.
