The difference between the two versions is probably the length of the tips, just like the delta between the Eisenmann units: I'm guessing the hangar locations and the length of the canisters and connecting pipes are the same between the E90 and E92. To that end, if you're putting on a diffuser and you don't want the tips to be hidden underneath it, you may want to to opt for the E92 exhaust. Either way, an experienced installer should be able to drill out the rivets on the tips and reattach them at an ideal length. Someone with actual experience should chime in though...

Got this on Bimmerforums from Kevlar. There's a 20% discount on the exhaust and 50% discount on the install at some dealers. Unfortunately, not all dealers know about it.
Vista BMW in Coconut Creek FL. (Edit 3/7/11 ... Vista has confirmed the discount) Braman BMW in Miami, FL. (Edit 3/7/11... Braman has confirmed the discount) .

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
