I am revisiting this thread to get some insight from the aggressive fitment guru's again. I am now moving onto another new wheel set, and I would like some insight because I am spec'ing in the build from scratch. For dimensions, I am going to go with 20*9 front and 20*10.5 rear. I don't see a need to go with an 11" rear as that extra 1/2" barrel shouldn't affect the look of the wheel in any way, just add 1/2" to the inner barrel. I think the tire sizes I would like to run are 255/30/20 and 305/25/20. Right now, I have a 255/295 michelin ps2 combo and I really like the feel. I want to step up to the 305 in the rear to get that little tiny bit increase in sidewall height.
With that said, what do you guys feel the ideal offsets are? I don't want to run into any problems with rubbing. I am at stock zcp height right now, but I will probably be lowering slightly soon. I was thinking something in the neighborhood of 9" +18, and 10.5" +21... What do you guys think?

Pretty cool, it lets you compare multiple tires at a time, which was very helpful for me. |

hah, wow your set-up's specs are practically dead on to what I want to build (I was just estimating based on the 3 set-ups I have had previously). Do you have any pictures? What tire brand are you using? Is there a reason you didn't go with the 255 up front? TIA!

anyone else have any info on a 10.5" ~+21 with a 305/25?? How about 9" +18 with a 255/30/20? I think there should be no problem with the fronts, but the rears I am a bit concerned..

Going 19x10 +29 and 19x11 +22, 245/35/19 and 305/30/19 tonight.
We'll seeeee. If the 305 doesn't work I'll be swapping to a slightly stretched 285.

Lol at you. Salty? I'd pick a 323i over an STi any day because I know I'll be driving German engineering, not some cheap plastic toy car you call a Subaru. Sorry to sound like a dick, and I like Subarus (great rally cars), but your original post screams jealousy and overall negativity, which was completely unnecessary.

I am considering buying 19 inch rims but have some questions for the experts here.
The rims are 19x 9.5 + 20 front 19x 10.5 + 22 rears. Will these rub? I will be using my stock tires....recommendations for other proper tire fitment most welcome.. |

It would seriously be nice to know a few things on these cars....
1) exactly how much it is lowered and with what spring rates 2) camber setting front/rear 3) toe setting on the rear I've got Ericsson offset 20" LM-R's and I'm having rubbing in the back likely because I can't find an alignment shop that knows how to deal with this. I've rubbed through liners at all four corners. Part of the alignment question for me has to do with the rear camber. When you increase the camber it brings the tire out at the bottom rather than bring the tire in at the top. I posted a question regarding the Hotchkis rear adjustment arms in the suspension forum, but no replies yet.
