WTF, it's a supercharger, they are suposed to whine, you dont like it, look at something else.

Superchargers are known for their whine and they have done it for many many years so the old comment doesn't apply.

In fact, many cars that come from factory with this kind of supercharger don't make that much noise unless you put an after market intake, I think it would be great for the costumers to have the choice to have it noisy or not. Personnaly, I don't care for the noise but I can also see why some would prefer their car without it.

My dad used to a drive a Harley F150 with the SCd 5.4L motor and it whined like crazy. So did my buddies Lightning truck, again with the SCd 5.4L. However, it only whined under load. Under normal driving, or especially when pulling up to a resturaunt, there was no added noise.

Factory cars, yes.. we are talking about an aftermarket SC, specifically this type of SC which is known to whine..
I prob came off a bit harsh, but it is what it is.

Mine has been on almost a year, I have an aftermarket air filter which makes it a LOT noisier but again, driving normally there is very little whine (even with the aftermarket filter) just like there is no blow off sound when driving a centri unless it's under load.
I'll put the stock air filter back in and post some vids for those who want one and are worried about the noise, but its sort of like wanting a loud exhaust without any drone at any time.

Here is a clip of the Harrop car at a track day, taking off from the pits and fly past to give some idea of noise

This will help and is appreciated. Regarding the supercharger itself, it's in every recent vintage S4 on the road. How many are even aware? It's attenuation not elimination of the inherent sound that I believe most are hoping for.

I'm not 100% sure but some people might look at supercharging their cars for other reasons then sound!

It prob is the loudest of all the superchargers, the whine is a bit much for a DD but if he wants power with less noise just go with ESS or AA etc. Lots O fish in the sea so to speak.

Watch some Challenger/Charger Hellcat Flyby Videos, it sounds exactly like it from the front of the car.

Trying to package it in a way more people can make use of it is what (I think) some of us were hoping for. This is not a question of performance. I don't blame them but Harrop likely has not given as much consideration to this as would an OEM (using the same product). I would assume they don't have to or that it doesn't make business sense to do so, but for personal reasons wish they, and it, did.

It was very nice meeting you today Limey!

I wasn't able to discuss my involvement at that point until the partnership was finalized

I've thoroughly enjoyed working with Harrop on the software development of this kit, and couldn't imagine my car without this OEM grade fine piece of machinery...

The torque is just sublime.
