Our cars do not require crazy camber like the E36/E46 chassis. I had confirmed this with James Clay back in the days, his suggestion was to run around -2.5 front and -1.8.

With pyrometer reading, it was spot on with a 10 degree delta between inside and outside front.

Had a conversation with Malek as well, his suggestion was the same (-2.5). I have been plenty happy and the car is very easy to drive. With -3 I was wearing the inside more. I am on Eibach springs/Bilstein shocks and HR bar if that matters.

On certain tracks here in SoCal it's just turn after turn so good to get as much possible.

Malek doesn't even track at all so don't know how he would know.

Thanks for the alignment comments. Interestingly, my rears at -1.8 have induced enough inner wear on my rear street tires that I'm going to need to replace them soon. I have no idea how much longer they would have gone w/o the negative camber though so YMMV. Regardless, I want my car set up to perform at the track so not looking to be conservative on my settings.

Don't forget you can still flip the tires to increase the life. Don't have to replace them that soon, esp for street tires.

Malek does race prep and setup (posts here a bit too).

I was quite frustrated chasing handling woes with high camber until I turned it down a bit (as suggested by Bimmeworld folks).

I had better wear with 2.8 as well but it didn't feel as good on turn in. My car was packed with as much weight as possible so it leaned a lot.

At acs with nascar bank it corded the outside of nt01 in one day so I chose to go back to more camber. I'll see how it does on Saturday - have brand new tires. I just have to flip and rotate more often to minimize the inside wear.

I'm aware of him as well but it's odd that I never see at the track nor hear about him there. There are tons of shops here so who knows.

Bring anything. We have assorted kbbq burgers dogs prob lamb covered too. Or bring chips and salsa. Or watermelon. We will prob have leftovers
