Any hardware or fuel differences between Stage 1 and Stage 2 or can they both be run on the same hardware and 91 octane?

There are hardware changes to up the boost level, but the manifold/charger is the same. Injectors still have room which is a plus. There will be changes to the software to accommodate the increase in boost.

Thanks to all that are excited for the kits release and for your patience. I'm going to stop driving the F80 by next week so I can get you some serious vids WOT with the GoPro. I've been meaning to test out the GoPro app anyway. I will also post the videos from the Dyno, just need to get them off iPhone.
Where in Texas? I'd love to check it out in person.

Hardware as in a smaller pulley, or does it include more than that? Just trying to get an idea of how much more a stage 2 might run in terms of price.

Great work Harrop and BPM.

And to fuel the speculation on the stage 2, I present the TVS1740 Stage III+ Audi APR Kit:

The vehicle is a B7 RS4 with a 4.2L FSI V8 and 6MT transmission. Mods to the vehicle are as follows:

- APR Stage III TVS1740 Supercharger System
- APR High Pressure Fuel Pumps
- Magnaflow OEM diameter downpipes and catalysts
- K&N Intake Panel Filter
- JHM Stage 5R Clutch and Flywheel
- TSW Nurburging Wheels & Michelin PSS Tires (46lbs each)
- Hotchkis swaybars

- OEM Intake housing/ducting
- OEM catback exhaust
- OEM suspension (springs/struts/shocks)
- OEM interior, full weight, us spec

If that RS4 wasn't such a boat it would be a very fast car. Sounds awesome tho!

It is well known that more octane allows more boost with the same compression ratio. I agree the Audi 4.2L is a fair comparison to the BMW 4.0L, so for those who run E85 or race gas and a smaller blower pulley, they should get similar results. It is a pain to change pulleys. Perhaps boost is entirely electronically controlled and a switch tune exists to make raising boost easier, but I am not sure about that.

For early adopters, it will be. Prices will inevitably come down, especially as more development happens on the new car, and prices on other superchargers continue to drop (and they are practically plummeting).

Yup, I've got a few. I will try to post them up on Monday once back in LA.

I told myself "I won't mod this car much." I saw that the aftermarket for this engine doesn't yield nearly the same HP gains as say does an LS3 or N55 with similar mods (especially for the money). This made me happy, as it would help me stick to my original plan.

Then this shows up, looking OEM and only adding 70lbs while making gobs of power. There goes my original plan. Thanks

Yes this supercharger is the real deal! I went for a ride in Mr. Mike Benvo's beautiful Harrop supercharged e90 and OMG it's insanely fast! Torque for days!!! and the supercharger whine it puts out is intoxicating! This kit is absolutely amazing and totally transforms the car.

Excellent first post. Welcome aboard!

Oh yeah, and you can make up all but ~15lbs of that 70 by switching to the Voltphreaks battery. Just sayin'

Add to the front and take away from the rear? Hmm, may need some suspension adjustments.

How heavy are the ESS/etc. units?

ESS vt2_625 weighs in at around 70LBS, but you also have to remember that you're removing stock parts as well.

Quote from Roman - It has been awhile from the last time I measured the weight of all the individual components in our kits but I had some time this morning so I did. Our VT1 kit has a total weight of about 55 lbs. VT2 kits have an total weight of about 70 lbs without fluid.

We spent a long time in development and continue to spend time looking for ways to reduce the weight of our kits where we can. We have been able to get the weight of the current VT1 manifold down to 19 lbs and the current VT2 manifold to 24 lbs. Last time I measured the stock manifold and air box that are removed the total weight of the parts was about 10-15 lbs if I remember correctly.

This thing is stunning.

About the weight being added to the front/removed from the rear, just remove the front seat and drive from the back

Mike, can we have access to the install guide to assess the difficulty for DIYers?
