M3 is a track car.
M3 is not a drag car. M3 is loser at red light racing. M3 asks to be sold to enthusiast. M3 says buy Camaro. |

I don't know what a "force on the street" is, aside from guessing that is drag racing. If it's drag racing that's not my area of knowledge, but I'd say just sell the car and buy something FI like many other said.
If it's fun on the street - my 2c are to do this: - Leave the suspension alone. Stock suspension is amazing on bumpy roads and very comfortable. If it's worn, just replace with stock parts from FCP Euro, or something like Ohlins R&T. No springs-only mods. No crappy standard Koni yellow dampers (been through that on E46 M3 - they're crap) - HFC resonated x-pipe and straight pipe muffler or valvetronic muffler. E92 M3 V8 sounds are amazing and make it much more fun - Don't drag race - newer FI cars will win in a straight line - Don't do low hanging front lips, don't do big spoilers or wings. Just have fun with the car - capable and fun on its own. Driveability on the street is valuable |

This thread has been entertaining. I envision a car with a modest power bump including a loud exhaust, fancy wheels, front spoiler lip thingy, and rear wing.

It's been three pages and no one has said it yet so have this.... LS swap it!! My favorite part of the vid is when he said his ESS Supercharged s65 powered m3 was "absolutely gutless" https://www.lsxmag.com/news/feast-yo...wapped-bmw-m3/

Also, don't mean to thread jack but how do you like your E92 compared to the CS? I'm sure you've written about it somewhere but can't seem to find it. |

i've posted the comparison a few different times. For the street, 100% the e92. There is no comparison at all. For mountain roads, again the e92. The CS shines on the track, where it's huge speed differential serves for something. |

Someone posted up dyno results once, they were pretty clear. It isn't a huge difference in a NA 4.0, but it is a difference |

A catless tuned DCT M3 is still quick, I find some of the answers here surprising - Cali and Texas are worlds of their own from experience.
460PS is still quick when kept on boil with the DCT. That M3 will be ahead of the usual modern suspects; Golf R stage 2, tuned N54/55s, stock Coyotes, SRTs, stock RS3, tuned S4/S5s, 987, 981, 997 & 991 non GT/Turbos. You'll get stomped by current gen tuned S55s & AMGs no doubt, but we didn't get those for a reason 🤷🏿 |

Did you notice a lot of low end torque loss with aftermarket headers and 282 cams? I would expect it would definitely be noticeable with 292 cams. |

The dyno plot of the stroker with 292s is in the stroker thread, it makes tons of power everywhere. What remains to be discovered is whether a 292 cam on a 4.0L will lose lots of low end power, and how much top end it generates. Fortunately a set of 292s is on its way from Germany... In the E46 world people were able to have their cake and eat it. That's the beauty of vanos. I expect the same results in the E9X world |
