Yeah, you are right. He was trying to beat the red light as well, and probably trying to force the bimmer to stop, but it didn't. People just can't count on others to yield to their aggression.

Clearly, neither driver is a saint, but one has to wonder if that guy in the F30 had a little M-envy combined with a "super awesome" tune that increased HP and decreased higher brain functions...

Hey, it's not necessarily wrong to drive aggressively. In most places, it is technically illegal to pass on the right, but nobody cares if you do it with enough space ahead to merge.

This idiot's problem is that he came up short on acceleration space. His accident was completely preventable. Honestly, if I was in his position and I saw that wall coming, I'd just slam the brakes. Let the insurance figure out why the guy behind you rear ended you, instead of why you got your car stuck on a concrete wall.
