Why bother when you're never* going to see at least 3 of them?

*bar when you remove the camcovers for work of course.

I second guessed myself on the first two covers I clipped on and found one more section not fully seated. You can remove the little half moon vanos cover to check things out without removing the whole valve cover. Pic for reference
Hey More Over, how did it work out to get the cover properly sealed after you only took the timing cover off? Did you have to lift the valve covers still in order to get the gasket right seated in the timing cover?

Thanks
Nik

No, you can pull the cover right off the front. I would loosen up the 4 front valve cover bolts for a little bit of relief. I haven’t had any leaking within the 10k miles since I did this.

Thanks a bunch for fast reply mate. Another mate of mine who pulled covers himself suggested it could be tricky to seal back. Your guidance is gold.

Cheers

Slonik Vanos cover updates

Has anyone had issues with the Slonik Vanos covers unclipping or wearing improperly? I am looking to buy a set and I am curious to how they are holding up. Thanks

Does anybody have updates on the Slonik Vanos covers? Are they working properly? Are they unclipping? And how are the tabs wearing down?

Thanks

Working great no issues at all. Peace of mind, a design flaw by Bmw is corrected

I recently replaced my valve covers, so I had a chance to inspect the hub covers. Still sit perfectly

Coming up on 3, but it's not my daily. Still, these things are rock solid and felt good going on.
