What have you done with or to your M3 today?

I believe a higher wet boiling point is desirable for street/track day cars where the brake fluid is bled once a year or so and thereby absorbs a bit of moisture.

Dry boilinng point is a factor in true race cars where the fluid is bled, that is, replaced, shortly before every race weekend and therefor has only a few days, not months, to absorb tiny amounts of moisture. Also, in race cars with adequate brake ducting, boiling is seldom an issue.

Late in a 12 or 24 hour race, nothing beats a high firm brake pedal!

Yeah the castrol ill store and eventually get a second bottle for the next flush. Found a local motorcycle shop that has motul for $20 so will go with those for now. Good to know pedal feel was consistent = did not boil. Mine (brake and clutch pedal) unfortunately with the stock brake fluid has become mushy and needs to be replaced this week. Thanks for the input. How was the track? This car is awesome.

this car is great! there really was never a sign of pedal getting soft, and I went through more than 3/4 of the way through the front XP20s in one day .. lol, was braking late and hard.

I flush every 3-4 months or every 4-5 track "weekends" not days, depending on what comes first, it seems to be working out well so far.

OK, so maybe not "today", but yesterday, tinted her! 35% Formula One Pinnacle. Never had tints before, and wanted to protect my leather as much as possible!

Dealer replaced front rotors, pads, and sensors along with a voluntary oil change at 8K miles (2 track days, 2 autoxs, and a bunch of canyon runs).

I don't have the guts to do something like that on my own. My exhaust would look like a failed 8th grade metal shop project by the time I was done.

thank you... I was like you... Then i found a local stock exhaust for $100 and went for it. if it went bad, then i could put mine back...

Took my babe today to meet her garage mate for the future (have long been looking for a well restored 1969 Mercedes 280 SL), pulled the trigger today and here she is ... I'm sure "White Tornado and Blue Tornado" will get along just fine

for her age and only 40K miles on the odometer she looks mighty fine.

She has 2 tops a hard top removable and soft top ... I plan a detailed photo shoot later of the new found friend (with White Tornado in the background looking on of course) ... she is in top notch shape had her up to 90 MPH on the way home.

Cannot wait to the first top down drive to the lake

What a coincidence. I just rode in my friend's 250 sl coupe today. Same color even. GREAT car. Congrats! So so classic. I've semi seriously considered buying the significantly cheaper 4 door version. The lines are details are just so lovely.
