Thanks for the reply, and the offer to chat on the phone , 1 major issue to that is I'm in the UK so it could be rather expensive! I'm tempted though so I'll look into it, oh and time zones could make things tricky too.
Also, I don't know if you guys would have time for this, but I'm after photos of rod bearings from any engine (although high HP engines would be ideal) where their has not been some kind of oil supply failure or contamination and of reasonably high mileage (say 75k+), and the rod bearings are in excellent condition. I'm trying to gather photos to show how they should wear (or rather, not wear) to demonstrate that the wear seen on most OEM S65 bearings is not normal as some people think. (I want to do this with local workshops too, but lockdown restrictions have largely put a hold on that). But I'd quite understand if you're generally too busy to do this, I'm a tech in a garage myself so I know how busy it can be (I very rarely get to strip engines down btw).

No worries Assm. I can imagine that might be pretty costly. Here is my personal email, tom@autocouturemotoring.com. Feel free to start the dialog there
Looking forward to it |

Man I totally forgot about this! Maybe one day I'll get around to starting the conversation?
PS I guess someone deleted their reply? I certainly got a User CP notification.
