Don't dodge the question. Why won't you change your bearings?

My car has 32K on it with oil changes every 5K always done by my BMW/Dealer in the book and always with 10W60 Castrol/EDGE .
Look...
I had a fresh oil change and drove the car about 1K miles , oil reader was up to about 90-95 % so just perfect .
Drove it after only 2 afternoons through the Belgian Ardennes..and my oil level reader was down to 50% !
So where is my oil ?
I'm almost sure that I have also a problem with my S65 because I just know when this bearing s@ckers starts to wear they just s@ck/burn all the oil because they run hotter because there is more friction !!!
Strange thing is it runs perfect ...No noises because I can hear them like no one else, but probably that will come soon!
The only thing I notice is that my S65 runs rougher when it's down to 50%...and planning another oil change within 3 weeks because it worries me to hear it running rough ....so only after about 2K miles !
And of course all BMW/Dealers say...A lot Oil consumption is normal and probably a black hole too !

Yea I was shocked when I had mine replaced at 31k when I went FI, bare copper on several of the bearings. Terrible wear, not normal not even close.

Sometimes you just got to ignore the trolls and look at the facts, and the facts do not say NOTHING IS WRONG. LMAO, if I would of stuck my head in the sand and played along to the tune of a few forum trolls would be a good chance my car would be on the side of the road by now.

Make sure the "trolls" don't have older cars than yours, with 4X your mileage.

Last time you said you had 67K miles. No matter what your car is running like, you are perhaps the biggest advocate for bad bearings. Whether it's 67K or 32K, you have no excuse not to have changed your bearings, since you are the biggest advocate of doing so.

1-No I never said 67K...never ! My car has only 32K on it because it's a garage queen and drive it only in summer and only in weekeds without rain and in winter it's hibernation to avoid road salt .

2-I'm not the biggest advocate for bad bearings because I never said to anyone to replace the bearings .

3-I know the biggest advocate for bad bearings and that's "BMW" because they created the flaw problem.

4-The only anger that I feel and that I'm typing on here is to show how I think about BMW and not about you .

5-Actually no need for an advocate because this case and Worldwide many others speaks for it self and I type it down on here that BMW f@cked up .

A pic from my car when I drove it last weekend through the Belgian Ardennes and when my oil level went down with 45% .
The trip was only about 200 miles...and where is my oil ?

I've posted a picture of my odometer, proving that I'm daily driven, and tracked with 119K miles, without bearing change, or fear of failure. So there is no confusion, please post a picture of your odometer proving that you have 32K miles. Even if you have a garage queen, if you don't plan on changing your bearings, then don't support others doing so.

As for your oil consumption problem, mine went away when I changed my front and rear O2 sensors. My 335I also stopped consuming oil @ 129K miles when I change it's O2 sensors.

BMW didn't do as bad a job as you think. Some other manufacturers are having blown engines due to bad bearings on <10K mile cars.

BMW didn't do as bad a job as you think. Some other manufacturers are having blown engines due to bad bearings on <10K mile cars.
Will start her up next weekend and will post a picture for you ,but it's in KM and not Miles because of Euro/Spec .
And man what are you talking about ? I never support others for a bearing change...never !
I'm only and always saying that it's not normal with this f@cking Worlwide bearing problem of the S65...And I'm angry against the creator of it...And when I see or hear something really wrong I'm saying...Call your BMW/Dealer ASAP....What else man... Call a hooker ? That's it !
BMW didn't do as bad as some other manufacturers with blown engine on 10K ?
Did you not saw on here that S65 that was blown with only 6.7K on it built end of "2013" ? So one of the last S65's built

Did you not see my recent thread. The stingray corvette also has tight tolerances and engines are blowing up. Heck one blew up right in front of me. Their failure rate is a lot higher than 1% yet folks on here like to endlessly compare BMW to other sports car manufacturers.

i honestly dont understand why there is always someone that has to chime in and either give excuses for why the bearings are bad on whoevers car, or defend it by saying these engine redline high and this wear is normal to people just not wanting to accept it or not. The facts and pics our out there. There has been too many engines opened up with most finding that the bearings, some not looking as bad all the time, are wearing extremely fast considering the mileage.

There is a clear problem, how can u deny it at this point i dont know why and how u would.

And there are plenty of other high mileage m3's out there. But neither those nor yours has any bearing (pun intended) on the situation. Everyone already agrees that the vast majority of cars will have a long, happy life. Congrats on being in that majority, but what is your point?

While they show some wear and definitely normal motors shouldn't wear that much with this type of mileage. I wouldn't say that those bearings were terrible and I also wouldn't say that they are close to be letting go. IMO they probably could have lasted longer.

It's when you start seeing copper is when you have to start worrying...

Half down on the oil meeter after a couple of k miles...Doesn't seem right in my view, never quite agreed to the oil consumption some of the engines show. Any idea how much oil half meter represent Phillip?

Honestly I find that the oil meter measurement is iffy at first. Every time I've had my oil changed, I've made sure to keep an extra quart of oil with me to fill it up. Inevitably, when I get the car back, it'll read in the middle for a few dozen miles, and then tell me it needs to add a quart. I'll reset the measurement a few times by holding down the stalk just to be sure - yep, give me a full quart of oil! She'll say.

So I add half a quart. Then I get a reading with the bar at the top! A hundred miles later, it's in the middle again. Finally after a couple thousand miles, it's stable.

My meter seems to work pretty well but takes time to adjust. Half a quart takes it from +1 to one notch below full.

You mean a Troll that bought a car with what 97,000 miles on it already? So if it was going to spin a bearing it would of done so already??
Then goes on the forums acting like everyone is causing panic?

You have no right at all to be bashing anyone about bearing wear simply because you avoided the issue by getting one of the good engines.
People here who actually spin bearings on low milage cars, or change them at 30k and they look like shit are pissed. And pissed for good reason, its an issue plain and simple.
Walk around with your nose stuck in the air and pretend like you know something nobody else does all you want. To me your a troll and nothing else period.
Ill take the advice of seasoned mechanics, or hell just use basic common sense over some blathering advice giving keyboard troll.

Obviously it isn't as clear as you think it is or there would have been a recall already. Some of you need to realize that the manufacture doesn't have to build you a motor that will last forever. Yes it's disppointing that there has been this many failures, but there is no reason to let it consume you. Take precautions you deem nesscessary and move on with life....

Or buy a corrola or something..,I donno.
