This is true. Alex@ACM told me the same thing.

I just got my ESS done on Friday and currently going through the break-in process.

Future Congratulations

Awesome bro, are you in Jersey? Let me live vicariously thru you for a minute. How does it feel? I know your going thru break-in but can you feel any difference in the lower rpms? Also did you get your bearings done? Good luck with it.

Yes, I live in Woodbridge. Right now since I'm on my break-in period I'm not taking it anymore than 4K RPM for the 1st 200 miles (10 miles to go!) After that you can start going around 6K. Afterwards is 1K which then you can do whatever you want with it . These were the wise words of Tommy@ACM which I will surely adhere to lol.

Low RPMs feel slight different, but since I'm still "babying" the car I don't feel much difference.

I didn't get the bearings done as my blackstone report was good.

Later down the line for sure.

Congrats bro. The blower completely transforms the car above 6,000 RPM. Below 6K, meh not that fast...above 6K hold the f*** on.

Make sure you have sticky tires when you got full WOT to redline. Even with 275 rear Pilot Super Sports in warm weather I still blow them off once the tach reaches 7,500rpm in 2nd gear and 8,000 in 3rd gear.

Thanks dude. It's funny you mention that tire size and make since I'm running the exact same setup.

It was sunny in NJ today although a bit windy, but I was hitting the gas on 3rd gear until the RPMs ramped up and I saw my boost gauge hit about 3 PSI. Oh man I can already tell the amount of speed this car is going to get up to and also get me in trouble .

With my STi the boost comes in quick, but then dies down. This car is the complete opposite. Can't wait to test it out more!

You don't need to follow a long-term break in procedure. The only "break-in" period is to wait until your engine oil is at normal operating temp. My ESS 625 was installed with 900 miles on the Odometer and the car did nothing but go WOT for 10,000 straight miles. No joke. Now it's my daily but it used to be a dedicated race car. Absolutely bullet-proof. Just be religious about waiting until normal operating temps are reached before you pass 3K rpm and step up maintenance with frequent oil changes and plug changes and you will be good for many years.

Thanks for the tip! I was told they are bulletproof which is really pleasant to hear.

Really, you don't feel much below 6k? Thats a little disappointing I thought you would feel it sooner. Oh well i hope I'm making a good decision. Do you think I'll be good with my Hankooks ventus evos? 255 in the front 275 in the rear. I'm not a track guy so I hope I'm good?

Hey buddy, What kind of boost gauge do you have? Wheres it located? I'm thinking of getting the P3 gauge thats located in the vent to the left of the steering wheel column.

Not in my experience... The car feels similar to about 3300-3500 rpm at which point you start to notice a difference which continues to build all the way to redline. I'd say it really gets violent at about 5500-6000rpm. Keep in mind that's my impression with little to no supporting mods... With a free flowing exhaust and a good set of tires to put that power down you'll have a beast on your hands! Enjoy!!!

I'm looking at doing the 625 next year or later this year. My shop recommends the ESS supercharger and I'm game. I wanted to get a little more time at the track before adding 200 HP to the car, but it's coming!

Nice! Congrats, your going to love the supercharger and Tom is the man, very thorough and he treats your car like his own.

You should feel the power starting around 3500 rpm's and it will feel drastically different than stock for sure. There is nothing better than a supercharged s65 imo

My car is there now getting some work done

NP... If you're going with a P3 gauge get the one from auto couture as it has some additional settings like afr, egt, and 60-130 time

That's the one I have. P3 ACM gauge. I ran it on my 335 when I had it and loved it. The AWRON gauge IMO wouldn't suit me unless it was a track car only.

Anyone running an oil cooler as well? I'm thinking of adding it sooner rather than later.

Well I'm completely desensitized since I've had the blower now for almost 3 years (car only had 900 mile when blower was installed and now has almost 30,000) and my other car is a 700/750 horsepower/torque Turbo S so your experience will probably be different.

I will be sure to post up pics and a review of what I can only assume will be a flawless install with ACM, as I have dealt with them on quite a few occasions. Best kit installed by the best techs, Win Win for u. I wish I could have got an ACM install.

Congrats enjoy but control that excitement and be very aware if you decide do turn off TC, DCT and the high revs of your new set up can give u a speedy surprise. Enjoy.

Spun my #1 main bearing after 30k miles on the kit, 60k on engine. Smoked my block etc. Had to build a new one from scratch, head was ok though.
