What a build, Duc e90sanmarino !
I'm very happy to see that you've taken some of the flaws and utilized an OEM+ approach to enhancing the S65 while keeping it in line with the platform's original spirit. Let's see those video/exhaust clips when you have them

With the 4.6L it's going to be really damn exotic!

Parts from the old engine are getting transferred over and encountered some minor set backs:
1. The harness has partially melted onto the headers due to improper clipping by a previous mechanic. 2. The coolant return hose requires complete replacement due to damage at the tip. 3. For cars manufactured post-April 2008, there is a discrepancy in the design of the oil filter housing related to the change in belt routing (counterclockwise) for the power steering pump. The idler pulley in the old design featured a notch, which is absent in the new design. Additionally, the bolt securing the idler pulley differs between the two designs. To ensure avoiding potential contamination by using the old filter housing, I am opting to replace the power steering pump, pulleys, tensioner, and bolt with new counterclockwise version. Here are some pictures at the current state: |

I want to provide you with a brief update on the ongoing progress regarding the project.
Anticipated delivery of the required parts is scheduled for next week. Regrettably, there have been unforeseen delays, particularly in sourcing the three coolant hoses for the rear of the engine. While waiting for parts, I have cleaned the transmission and subframe using water and degreaser. Removing the accumulated dirt, which had been firmly adhered for over fourteen years, proved to be a challenging endeavor that required a lot of elbow grease I have attached several pictures below depicting the current condition of the project: |

Hello @e90sanmarino!
Greetings from Singapore! Congrats on your new engine. I just got mine as well from Carbahn 4.6 with cams. Did you receive your maps from Chris? Mine is in progress swopping the engine and is going to be done soon. looking forward for your advice. |

Congratulations on your stroker! I haven't received the map from Carbahn yet. Unfortunately, their customer service has been slow to respond. It appears that a gentleman named Ani is responsible for the tune. In light of this delay, I am considering opting for the BPM tune instead, as I have had positive experiences with their tuner (Mike) in the past. Please keep me updated on the progress of your swap. I anticipate being able to initiate my first engine start next week. |

Yes, agree their service is very slow. They might have too many enquires? I just worried without the map, the car starts running for the run in I not sure if it is safe (fuel support) as the engine capacity has increased. Plus you opt for other tuner's map, warranty might void. Will try call Carbahn for the map again.

Regarding the race cams you mentioned with the motor, I recall discussing this matter with Chris, who indicated that they do not provide a tune for strokers equipped with cams. SYT_Shadow had his stroker warrantied despite using a different tune, so I am not overly concerned. Additionally, another member in this thread shared a story about Carbahn warrantying an F10 M5 stroker motor with an aftermarket tune. As a precautionary measure, I would advise against starting the car without the tune installed. Hopefully, you will be able to resolve it with Carbahn. Keep us updated |

Congrats on the stroker build. Mine has been swapped from the e90 dct into the e92 6mt, and every time I drive it, it's really something.
If Carbahn has a tune for a 4.6 stroker with the 292 cams, that is new news. I didn't have any issues getting stroker #2 warrantied when it failed during tuning. When you disassemble an engine, you can easily see predetonation on the pistons, so it's not like the tune could have killed the engine and no one can see evidence of that during disassembly. When stroker #2 failed, it went back to Carbahn and they disassembled it, then ruled out tuning, and warrantied the engine. If Carbahn has a tune, I'm curious to see a dyno!

Hi SYT_Shadow, yours also got it from carbahn? it's the 4.6?
What happened to your engine. it's very troublesome to send back for any warranty claims. Sorry to hear about yours, and hopefully I don't face that. |

It suffered a freak accident upon initial dynoing and was replaced with a new engine free of charge, so we know the Carbahn warranty actually works. |

It seems like a rod bolt was improperly torqued.
It would have been better to not have an issue, but at the same time it was impressive to see them actually stand behind their warranty. |

The tuner is straight motorsport from Germany. They only work with S65s. Highly recommended. I had already tried a few US-based tuners. |
