You have to yank exceptionally hard. Especially if they’ve never been removed, I use a combination of the tape and yanking, worse that can happen is it breaks

Bought one of these streaming Bluetooth hacks after randomly coming across it on Youtube while looking at E90 videos...had no idea this even existed.

Whoa! What a difference! Did you DIY or have to pay a detail company? How much does something like that cost? $500?

My big fear is I get one side out but not the other. I'm actually considering pliers over a towel at this point.

Changed the oil. As usual, dropped about a quart on my garage floor. I've been changing oil for 40 years now and don't think I've ever done it cleanly.

Took the car for a drive to check the oil level, and had to run it for quite awhile--20 minutes--before it gave any reading. It was about 45 degrees here, and the car warmed up as usual. Just as I was seriously thinking the oil level sensor was broken it came on.

Dropped into ACM for some coding and GTS DCT. Shifts are very crisp, and feels smoother in less aggressive modes.

Did you have a leak/overheating issues at 50k miles? Sounds early for those types of issues.

  • Valve cover gaskets
  • Upper timing cover gaskets
  • Engine fan
  • Thermostat

  • Brakes & rotors (warranty replacement)
  • Oil change (OEM weight)

Drives great, of course. I have a little over 50k miles on it.

Next is probably tires. Keeping an eye on the Blackstone reports, but so far so good.

Here’s a shot of the motor during the work:

Installed my Euro bumper and replaced felt corners! Took longer than expected; the bolts on the side were a pain.

I knew I wasn't losing my mind! Ha!
Going to try and get him off the road, my girlfriend was just hit by an older guy too while walking on the sidewalk, he drove off so its considered a hit and run now. It would be kinda funny if it was the same guy who hit my car lol.

Anyways they haven't moved my car yet still in the tow yard after they said it would be towed to a body shop for an estimate
