Yeah, if someone is having hard time spelling TaeKwonDo, you can just simply write TKD.

Wow

Congrats on the car, looks great. With regards to the roof, I would personally do a CF roof swap rather than wrap it, but I would only do gloss black if I were to wrap. I haven't seen any good CF wraps, and anything other than gloss black would look terrible bc of the sunroof. IMO of course.

Wow 15 page thread I think we've had most of the regulars chime in here!
Can't believe the Belgian hasn't rained in yet to warn her about her rod bearings
Reading all these Post is like being in a singles bar listening to guys trying to make small talk with the hot chick.

I don't know why its so hard for some of you Neanderthals to believe that there are women out there there are Car crazy?

There's a girl in my office who will wipe her car down in the parking lot in heels with a microfiber towel whenever it gets a little smudge on it, she does all her own detailing her car is immaculate as clean as mine everyday... you can just imagine when I pull up and there she is bent over in heels wiping down her rocker panels...btw she could be manda's twin sis.
I won't get into my hot yoga instructor who just bought a new Wrangler in did almost 20 k in mods on it.. she's a Jeepaholic, extremely pretty with a great outlook on life.

Anyhow manda a nice car welcome to the Fourm!
You're driving one of the last great M cars take care of her and she'll treat you right!

I might recommend in the future instead of using your finger, a launch control video with you at the wheel will silence all your critics!

You're right, I forgot the car has a sunroof, so glossy black would probably be better. But some non-matte CF wouldn't be too bad either I think.. I'm kinda having a hard time picturing it right now because my head is so used to the CF roof, lol.
Switching the entire roof sounds a little overkill though, since you'd also need to replace the interior and probably some other stuff.

Actually too much of live and work here...after another year of really hard work (shifts) Oughhh finally vacation .
The problem is that I'm boring ....cause is the screwing weather here in Belgium ,and I can't go outside .
After the Belgian heat weave ...now the rain is the problem and for days..
But when the rain stops this is waiting for me , see pic of # 1647 => http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=18238096
Need to wash my car too , drove a few days in the heat weave and the front bumper is no longer SS II but almost black from the explosions of insects .
So my comment above about that third place is only caused by the f@cking Belgian weather and I'm boring ...and when boring the solution is this forum .

There are definitely pros and cons to these mats.
PROS
You won't ever ruin your precious M3 embroidered mats
You don't have to be careful when getting in your car
Easy to clean up (wet rag and quick wipe down - not including inside the little fluid channels - is much faster than getting a vacuum cleaner out)

CONS
They are slippery (if your shoes have soles on it then it won't be much of a problem - be cautious of what cleaners you use on the mat as some products are oily and will make it a slip and slide).
They get dirty fast (any small amount of dirt on your shoes will show up quickly, but can wipe off easily).
Annoying to clean fluid channels (at least I think that's what they are - don't spray a cleaner directly onto the mat unless you want to spend time to wipe everything off).
Passenger side is not optimal (it does not extend far and you can see where the mat ends while sitting in the seat). I kept my M3 mats in for the passenger to give a passenger the full M3 experience by seeing the M3 logo on the mats Driver side is definitely better than passenger side.

These were a gift given to me and I won't be removing the driver side mat anytime soon, but I don't know if I were to buy these myself. If you live in a wet area then of course these are perfect for you, otherwise I would just use carpet protector and regularly vacuum the seats.
Beautiful car and well-organized garage. I would add another con to the weather tech floor mats. The embroidered M3 mats can be replaced when they wear out. Why save the look of your mats for the next owner rather than just enjoying them yourself? Carpeted mats are much more comfortable places to rest your feet (and kinder to expensive leather shoes) than hard plastic covers. It's like putting plastic over your leather upholstery to keep it from wear.

It's no secret I was one of the skeptics at first. I can state two things with near certainty, based on the pics she has provided (haven't caught her in a lie yet).

1. The girl in the pictures is in some way associated with the individual that is posting, whether they are the same person, or they are married/dating/friends/whatever. By this, I mean that the person posting isn't just finding random pictures on the internet and posting them as his/her own.

2. The girl in the pictures is associated with the car in the pictures. By this, I mean that it is either hers, or her husbands/fiance's/friends/whatever.

I choose to believe the OP at this point, because keeping a lie this elaborate up without giving yourself away would be difficult to say the least, and would make you a complete and total moron

I will give you this though..just to play Devil's advocate. It is possible that some guy with a nice looking girlfriend and an M3 (possibly someone who is already a member on here?) decided to play a joke on us all, and make an account to post a fake "journal" thread with some pictures he did a while back of said girlfriend modeling in front of his car, as if it was the girl in the pictures posting them herself. But I have to ask you, what would be the reason for this? Just because this is so ludicrous, I don't believe it's the case (so don't get mad at me Manda Mew, again, I am just playing Devil's advocate) I am just giving you the benefit of the doubt and saying that this is the only likely scenario I could see at this point.

Honestly, the whole "fake thread" topic is getting old and tired. Let the "girl" post what she wants. They are nice pics to look at, her posts are entertaining, and she isn't harming anyone. Even if she is lying, who cares? But I honestly don't think she is

Nice ring- it's similar to my wife's "redo" of her ring. Didn't know that was allowed but I guess it is since tastes change with time- and it's been a LONG time.
Also, Nice teeth. I notice because I've put out about $12,000 in orthodontic work for 2 kids and still have another to go, and her teeth are a MESS.
Don't mind the haters. Car forums love cars and women... not sure why they're hating so much.

Yes, it's skinny. The standard wheels are 8.5" front and 9.5" rears, while the Competition are 9" and 10" wheels but BMW didn't want to use a different tire size, so they stuck the same tire on the wider wheels. Proper size would be 255/35 and 275/35-19. The GTS ran a rear 285/30 but that tires size is pretty limited. Most people run through 2 sets of rears for one set of fronts.

I did all 4 wheels and barrels within an hour and that was including beer breaks.
Let us know how that works out and how they hold up to the heat after a few months of driving. That would be awesome if you could just spray the wheels and they'd be clean.

I used to go to meets regularly, and it was ok, but track events are like meets, and you get to know people there a lot more. I have an awesome group of "track bros" I keep in touch with. Going to meets, was kind of "fake" after a while because people spends TONS of money on their car, but when you ask if they track it... see my sig.

Its definitely a she. I call her my Mew3 (Mew is my chihuahua).

Ya I may have gone a bit over the top, but my fiance did help a lot when he wasn't taking pics!

Honestly I never plan on selling mine either, but RoshDawg says he wants to keep his 911 forever (and its hard to keep two coupes forever when kids are in the foreseeable future). I feel like the 911 is a better car but the M3 feels a bit more special.

No I don't know a Nick. Who knows though maybe he sold his car and I picked it up? Car was at BMW Riverside if that gives any clues.

Haha trust me, he did not provide any assistance. If anything his hair kept getting onto the paint, but he kept crying in the back yard until I let him help.

That finishing pad I used is not really meant to buff anything since there is no cutting power to the pad, and honestly there were not any high spots prior to using the finishing pad since I got them all out with my flashlight and micro fiber. Although buffing out with a micro fiber 5 minutes after application was a bit difficult and took some elbow grease at times, which made me worried about marring but it turned out fine.

Thanks! I'm actually thinking of changing the color of the wheels, and I'll ask my fiance if he has any. I know he took some but didn't like how they turned out, I'm sure he'll take more.

Thanks!

Haha I hope my detail work is stunning for a girl OR guy!

Lol thanks!

Still welcome! And still congrats! What does your husband drive???

Hello all!
This thread is severely entertaining. Just thought I should give some background on everything.

I drive a 911 type 991 Carrera S with PDK and our family car is a Tiguan SE 4motion.

I was leaning more towards a GLA 45 since I already have a sports car, but after much discussion we settled on the M3. The car was supposed to be mainly for me, but of course she could drive it when she wanted to, so that I wouldn't rack up miles on my 911, which I wanted to keep forever.

She was the one who signed the papers and closed the deal on the M3. The loan is even under her name with me as a consigner. She drove it for quite a long time while I was out of state. During that time, she convinced me that I should daily drive my 911 and not keep it forever, and instead trade it in eventually for a more rare car like a GT3 or GT3 RS, which would make more sense to keep forever. We then decided that she will daily drive the M3, and when she would have to take the dogs into doggy daycare on MWF's during vet school, she would take the Tiguan.

I enjoy taking pictures of her, especially sexy ones. Photography is definitely my main hobby currently. I do get satisfaction seeing my photos get appreciated, and I promote her to do certain pics on Instagram to get more followers. Makes me feel like a legit photographer in a way, and a compliment to my fiancé which is technically a compliment to me as well

Manda does love cars though, as well as detailing. I find detailing with her to be a bonding experience. I also love going on chase drives with the 911 and M3 while we're on Bluetooth speaker together. that's better than most dates we've gone on.

I must say though, it is kind of weird having a spouse be on a car forum that you also go on. Pretty cool though and I can tell she got the hang of it fast without much help from me.

Okay back to work.
