Yeah, I don't know if I'd go any larger than these 88mm tips. I know this is all preferential, but to me it's going to start looking really ricey going any bigger, particularly if they are not double walled tips.

Smilar situation. I like everything about my car, even the orange reflectors. But the stock exhaust tips, not at all. Plus, the trash can size muffler isn't to pretty either. I've looked at many exhausts too. The B&B has the look I'm wanting. Still a little salty for a axle back, but much better look. Do you run any risk of cel lights coming on or anything else that might create a headache. I'm not much of a modder, but I would like to change the look of my exhaust. Are the tips single edged at the end, sort of tapered? I just hate the look of the rolled tip. not really concerned about the sound, although it would be nice to hear a little more note. So far, I haven't seen anything else that I liked enough to spend the money, but The B&B might be the option.

You can't get a CEL from a rear section replacement only. Any changes down stream of the O2 sensors will not affect your OBD.

Also guys, something else to consider:
I just did 2 track days at AAA Speedway, (4) 25 min. sessions each day. These tips sit pretty close to the rear bumper/valence and obviously get very very hot during track sessions. As such, I did notice that the plastic on both inside edges of the exhaust cut outs in the bumper has moved a little. I think the heat build up "re-molded" the area a tiny bit. It's not a big deal to me and I can't see this actually happening during normal street use. Just a word of caution for those that might want to use a carbon fiber rear diffuser or are extremely anal about their cars. The car sounded bad-ass at the track when you're running WOT as reported by "aus" on this forum, part of the reason I got this system. I will post some vids in the next week or so. Stay tuned. |

The weather was perfect. I think the hi was around 80 with a little breeze.
Speed Ventures ran a good event. I attended both days. My PS2s took a beating. Everything was on schedule and was organized. I didn't see any major issues. I ran low-intermediate and med-intermediate group. Their style is a little less formal than CCA for sure, which I liked. You could view the track from many spots on the infield which was cool. I'm not sure on the quality of the instruction because I ran without. I also liked the fact that there were so many different types of cars there, not just mainly BMWs. I'd go with them again for sure. Last edited by chili cheese; 01-18-2011 at 02:47 PM.. |

BB Exhaust
I had this exhaust system on my 08 for almost three years and loved the sound every minute. When I took it off the 08 and put it on my 11 it was the same sound except for the little bit of drone at about 2k. my guess is the fwd part of the exhaust system, Cats or whatever, has not settled in yet as the sound seems to be coming from the fwd part of the car. Exhaust went on old car at about 6k miles and on the new car at 300 miles. BTW was removed from 08 car at 50k miles. This is one of the best that I have heard yet. Quality is still to be admired.

Let me know when.
I'm getting an itch for another exhaust. B&B or A&E most likely.
