Does The Radio Ever Turn Off?

Just brought home a 2011 MW and. Was wondering how long the radio stays on when the ignition is turned off. It's kinda weird that it stays on like that.

When powering off .. do you press the start/stop button twice? once to switch the engine off and once to switch everything else off?

yes it turns off after you lock the car.

just hold the start/stop button for 3 seconds and it turns off.

If you just push it 1nce quickly the radio stays on until you lock the car.

I assume you have comfort access. You can press the start/stop twice (as mentioned above) or press and hold the start/stop for a couple seconds when shutting down. Also, when you lock the car it will turn off.

Turns itself off automatically even if you leave the door unlocked. Seem to remember it'll run for 8 minutes.

That's because you have Comfort Access. Audio shuts off when you press lock button on your remote.

With Comfort Access you either need to:

1. Press the Ignition Start/Stop button twice or
2. Lock the car with the remote

Took me a few days to figure this out myself, I was so confused when radio and navigation stayed ON after getting out of the car lol

If the engine is running and you press and hold the Start/Stop button the whole car will be off without pressing the button in two steps. That's another way of turning the whole car off.
