Macht Schnell Pulley System Review

I recently made a trip down to Santa Ana to visit EAS facility and got a few mods done to my car. Yes I know, I thought I was over the mod bugs but guess not.

One of the mods we installed on my car was the Macht Schnell Pulley System. I got a chance to take a closer look at the pulleys before they install it, quality and material are top notched. For those of you who have Macht Schnell parts, Im sure you know what Im talking about! The install took about 1 hour and as soon as I left the facility, the change I felt on my car was immediately noticeable!

I have been running this pulley system for about 2 weeks now with constant redlining and pushing it hard, that's how I normally drive my car. The car pulls great and revmatching has never been easier and smoother throughout the entire RPM range. Definitely a good bolt on mod to have!

Oh and thanks to Tom and Steve for sneaking me in at the last minute, I couldnt beat the LA traffic on my way down but they waited for me.

RE and MS are both great products but Macht Schnell offer to change both pulleys for the 6MT since RE only changes 1.

EAS installed a Rogue pulley on my car and I saw the MS pulleys they had when I came back a few months later. They look pretty much identical, either one will be fine. Get whichever of the two is cheaper.

The Macht Schnell website claims that "Our DualDrive design replaces the Crank Accessory & Power Steering Pulleys...Maintains proper alternator speed, allowing sustained levels to sensitive control modules....Proper cooling temperatures are retained at proper levels on or off the track"

So obviously the power steering pump will be slowed down, hopefully this will increase steering effort. I have always found the steering to be a little too over-boosted anyway, this alone would almost make it worth it for me. Can anyone confirm that steering effort is increased?

Also, what other things are connected to the accessory pulley? I assume Air Conditioning anything else?

The proper cooling temperatures claim indicates to me that whatever pumps oil and coolant is unaffected, can anyone confirm?

I had given up on a pulley some time ago due to worries about cooling and electrical systems, having read about this system I am now getting interested again.

Thanks

I got the rogue, and my steering effort is increased, I'd say by about 10-15%. Great when in 'normal' steering mode.
