What are the lightest 19's for the M3
What are the lightest aftermarket 19" rims that would fit an M3?
How much Lighter are they than the OEM 19" Would that difference equate to a noticeable improvement>? For the sake of the discusion- lets not take looks into account. |

Well, I will be paying attention then Morralloys. I can't wait to see what you come up with. I will be looking into yourself, RAC, HRE, perhaps Kinesis, and maybe BBS.

Monoforged wheels are going to be the lightest. Forging gives the advantages of being able to make lighter wheels, or stronger wheels, or some combination of both. Personally, for street use, I'll give up some lightness for more strength. My 19x9 & 10 RAC RG4s wigh 22-23 lb, but they are really strong. Have taken many potholes without a whimper. Still perfectly true and dent free.

Sorry guys...come in here to save the day! (j/k)...If price is no option and it is just used for the track, get dymags...but they are NOT suited for bumpy-ish road use. After that, I have not found anything that is lighter than the HRE C93...They will be on their site soon-ish (unknown to me) but they should weigh in at like 19.x lbs for 19x12!!! so much less for 19x9.5/10
pics of the c93s and all other c9x series (c93 lightest by a very small margin of ~0.95 lbs to c97, etc) can be found here: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/s...hre+c97&page=2 middle of the page-ish i will be getting the c97s when I get my car. About the performance, you should definitely feels a large difference as it would probably save at least 8-9 lbs/wheel...the M3 OEM 19s are heavy. |

I'm thinking Volk TE37s and CE28s, CCW's competition line of wheels, and whatever everyone else posted up about.
EDIT: http://www.wheelweights.net/ TE37 19x8.5 - 20.2 lbs TE37 19x9.5 - 20.9 lbs CE28 19x8.5 - 19.4 lbs Last edited by irvbulldogs72; 03-23-2008 at 09:07 PM.. |

Things must have changed radically since the last couple of answers here. I'm looking for something between 16-20 pounds per rim to replace 19' OEM's. Thoughts are appreciated.

The ADV.1's in 19" will be very light as well...for reference a 20x8.5 (in M3 offset) weighs in at about 21lbs
If you want to spent big $ Dymag are probably the lightest. I believe there is a set for sale in the for sale thread... Last edited by wheeladdicts; 07-29-2010 at 03:23 PM.. |
