suspension work in DC?
Anyone had suspension work done in the DC area - particularly alignments? I'm looking for a shop recommendation. Thanks.

NW DC. I have a FATT at Summit Point coming up (and I don't put a lot of miles on the car in general), so I want to max out the front camber and also make sure everything is in spec. I have eibach springs too, but I'm still debating whether I will install them.

i would search out a few places that build race cars, like RRT in Dulles, Convenience Car Care in Manassas, and AtSpeed Motorsports in Hanover, MD

I highly recommend Pro Imports in Rockville. They've done all of the alignments on my track prepared e46 M3 which has camber/caster plates and rear adjustable control arms so they can handle any type of an alignment from simple to complex.
Also, last week I had them install my PFC BBK on my e92 M3 and the install was performed flawlessly. There number is 301-881-5055 and ask for Pat. Tell him that I sent you to him. Donnie |

Yeah, they mostly deal with Audi's and BMW's.
I've been friends with Pat for over 20 years so he lets me sit in the car while he does the alignment. If he won't let you sit in the car just ask him to add weight to the driver's seat while he does the alignment. I have not yet had the e92 M3 aligned (the Moton suspension is getting installed tomorrow) so I don't know how sensitive the alignment is to changes in driver's weight but the alignment in my e46 M3 is sensitive to changes in driver's weight. I don't think he has scales anymore so, unless he borrows them from someone else, he is currently not setup to corner balance a car although he is capable of corner balancing a car. Donnie |

I just had some eibachs installed and I went to PTuning in Manassas.
They specialize in import cars but also work on euro cars as well. They did a great job with the installation/alignment and Follow Up. They are a race garage so they don't cut around corners and the fee's are reasonable compared to RRT. They share the same passion when it comes to cars rather than just a maintenance/repair garage. Great installation, alignment and full dyno facility IMO. |
