Angel eyes

Ok... I had my Angel bulbs upgraded to white. In the package you get some type of resistor with it. The problem is after a month the resistor blows (happened twice).

So I was seeking an alternate when I found a bulb comany here in the UK. The guy I talked to said I can use a bright white/blue H8 Xenon 7500 bulb (picture attatched) with no attatchment required, just plug in as you would do with a normal bulb.
Has anyone else come across this??

Yea, they look like GP Thunders. They were the first solution many people were turning to before any of the LED, or HID kits came out. You can however add the camaross305 "Elite" kit which will bypass the cars computer and send a continuous 12v to them at all times. With that kit they become one of the best angel eye solutions out there.

go with the new LUX H8
BY FAR THE BEST OPTION IMO!!!!!!!

And I've tried them all, I had those bulbs you posted a picture of. They look okay (at best) when your headlights are off, but as soon as the headlights go on, they go to half power and they look worse then stock.
I then had the 6000k HIDs, way too bright if you ask me. The rings were not clearly defined, it looked like a blob of lights.

Finally, today I am running Lux H8

camaross305 is a forum member. He might have a thread in the sponsor section otherwise look him up under the member search.

As slammedm3 said the HID's are too bright, so don't get that kit from camaross305. Get his other kit that will power your H8s at full 12v all the time.

If you are looking for an upgrade, you should defiantly check out angelibright's. They are completely plug and play- all parts are contained in the headlight compartment- this means when you go to the dealer you dont have to hide anything or un-install things in fear of the dealer voiding the electronics warranty. These also do not dim when you turn the headlights on, and the color temp is set to match the stock Xenon's:

You can do just a hyperwhite replacement bulb but the color will not be as nice as LEDs. With that said, they will match the factory brightness if they are the same wattage.

FYI - wattage is not a measurement of how bright a bulb is

You can go with the GP Thunders or MTEC bulbs. Seems like the other bulbs you were running didn't consume enough wattage if resistors were required

Not at all, that would be Lumens. Wattage is a measure of power consumption however for the same bulb type, a higher wattage bulb will burn brighter.
