Would really love to see a shot of the rear of the car from a "seated position" to see how much the canisters hang down; how visible they are if you are in a car following your //M.
Would love to see some more videos that make it clear when F1 mode is on and when its in the quieter mode while moving (not stationary revving). Just a wish list..... ![]() CONGRATS E!!! ![]() Cheers, e46e92

I will throw down my write-up then respond to comments.
First off, many thanks to Greg and his team at GTM. A super friendly bunch that are very skilled and approached the install in a very professional manner. Greg’s concern throughout the entire install was for it to be clean, stealthy, and most importantly, correct. They did a great job as you can see from the pics. I am completely happy with the exhaust. The fit and finish are top-notch. You can see the welds in the pictures and they are just fantastic. I knew Swamp would like them? I was pleasantly surprised by how perfect the tips looked. One issue I have with a lot of the aftermarket exhausts and the tips they use is the tips are generally single walled and a dull finish. The finish on the SS tips are excellent and they look great sitting under the rear bumper. The “KSG” etching adds a really nice feel to the tips too.The muffler canisters are finished off with a high polish and again look great. I am extremely pleased with how the exhaust looks. It was better than I hoped for and of course it is a direct bolt on with connecting pipes and non-adjustable tips. That is not a negative as the tips are perfectly aligned and there is no need for them to be adjusted. There were absolutely no clearance issues with the whole exhaust and everything fit perfectly. No modification was needed and it fit like stock. Again, the construction of the exhaust is so right down to every measurement. Silent Mode In this mode it’s not even a question of how livable it is because there is no downside to this mode. It sounds better than stock and eliminates any drone experienced while in F1 mode. This mode is perfect if you are on a date, pulling into your neighborhood and feel like being “neighborly” or just feel like relaxing the character a bit. It’s hard to describe in words how much the sound changes when you close the valve. It just becomes a different great sounding exhaust without the extra loudness. The ability to switch the exhaust sound and the actual sound are what sold me on the exhaust but to experience the operation of the valves and how much it transforms the sound is f@cking remarkable! If any exhaust would complement the character of the M3, the adjustability and customization of the car to one’s tastes, this exhaust is perfectly designed and implemented to handle it. What other exhaust can you choose the sound levels you want and switch between them when you want? F1 Mode Awesomeness. People refer to their cars as beast’s, but you don’t know “Beast” until you hear the valves open on a Kreissieg exhaust. To me, it just sounds so mean and downright mad. The takeoffs in F1 mode are great and highly enjoyable, cracking a smile. F1 mode just seems to unleash the engine from its restraints and bellows out. You can hear the tone change as you increase in revs and it keeps getting better as you rise in revs. Throttle blips are to-die-for. As if I didn’t do them enough before I will be all over them now. ![]() Very enjoyable and again the ability to switch from one distinct sound to another is so right and exactly what I was looking for. There is some minimal drone with this exhaust in F1 mode, as to be expected with louder exhausts. To cover typical highway speeds; in sixth gear at 70 mph the drone is noticeable but does not consume the cabin and make conversation difficult or music hard to hear. Sixth gear at 75mph, the drone is reduced further and sixth gear at 80 mph, the drone is very slightly noticeable and completely livable with regular conversation and music with no real noticeable annoyance. Everyone’s taste in their tolerable amount of drone is different but no matter what I say, if you find a certain amount of drone to be more annoying than not, you can always press the little button on the supplied key fob and change into quite mode. The Kreissieg unit may cost more than others but you are getting two exhausts in one here. Two exhausts that you get to choose the sound for and adjust as you see fit. The ultimate in customization. Not to mention the insane attention to detail and superb build quality as you can see from all the pictures. Closing Thoughts The Kreissieg unit was all I hoped for and exactly what I wanted. No buyer’s remorse whatsoever. Good bye to that ugly stock exhausts, minus the stock tips, which I liked. Just a little small. Got to love the usability of an M3 when you can carry your stock exhaust in the trunk of your car. Props! It felt like there was some increased hp/tq during my travels so far but I won't make any claims without anything to back it up besides my posterior. Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions. |

They most definitely aren't the same sound level. The "thin" sound is when the valve is closed. |

A pic looking directly into the pipe with an opened valve might help if you get a chance at some point.

Wow, looks even more beautiful with the large pics. Fabrication is second to none. So many M3 exhaust system have crappy materials/fab/welding. Not this baby. I suspect the vaccum is a solution that won't wear out line the motor actuated valves common on aftermarket bypass systems. I'd absolutely love on e of these systems but again a bit rich for my tastes. I'm still thinking about a very low cost aftermarket system with custom bypass.
Any thoughts on tip length with a rear diffuser, are they long enough to not be well tucked under the diffuser. A shot from the top down would help show this. Congrats buddy, it's been long and painful, but obvisouly well worth it. Such a perfect complement for the M3.

I wouldn't think the tips would be hidden with a diffuser. Much less well hidden. I meant to get a shot of the tips from the top but for some reason didn't. I will def get some of those. I detailed the car before I took it to the install then it stormed like mad on the drive back and everything if f@cking filthy. Poor exhaust. ![]() Thanks. It has been a long wait, but as you said, well worth it. It's nice to have your already high expectations exceeded. ![]() |

Congrats on the exhaust Epacy2 that thing is really amazing can't wait till I get one "hopefully" lol
I had one question though, since the engine is being opened and the engine vacuum is being used for the exhaust, is there any chance of the warranty getting voided? I'm trying to stay under the warranty for at least the next year or two just in case. I'm doing really heavy driving almost 23000miles in 10months and don't want to risk voiding the warranty this early in time. Would appreciate the input and once again Congrats on the amazing exhaust . |

I wouldn't think how that would void your warranty. You are just "t'ing" off from the regular vacuum line and it's not like you're using that much. Plus you have the air resevoir to keep plenty of air on demand. I don't think you'll have a problem at all. |

The exhaust looks top notch, and the idea of two for one is really cool. But in my opinion and from all videos I've seen the F1 mode sounds like shit. It's just loud but there is no good tone. Again this is my opinion from videos I've yet to hear it in person. I prefer a single sound with a nice tone.

First of all, I would like to congratulate you for having such a nice Kriessieg Fi Valvetronic Exhaust and appreciate for having very nice posted details write up, I am thinking to purchase one myself but I have been wondering on several things that you might be able to help me out:
1. By the look from the rear (esthetic), I see the muffler is hanging out it seems that the muffler position is low to the ground due to the size of the Kriessieg muffler is bigger than the oem one so that by the rear look is not as nice as other muffler comparing to Meisterschaft where the muffler is hiding so that you can only see the pipe sticking out looking at the rear (hard to see from the picture). How do you look at this because you see the car with installed muffler in person? Does it change the ground clearance from the OEM to the Kriessieg? 2. On the exhaust sound volume, in the web it stated that Volume can be ordered among 5 different stages, is this mean that we get all 5 stages as a standard and select it from the remote control or we can only choose 2 different volume as our selection. Can you kindly explain more elaborately on how it works? 3. On the silent mode, is it really quite or quitter than OEM? Thank you so much. Cheers, Andrew912 |

The statement and pics regarding quality goes a long way toward justifying the additional $$$$ for this exhaust. The droning info was also welcome. I wonder whether inclusion of the X-pipe would increase, reduce or, perhaps, not change the drone pattern. Regardless, from your description, droning is not going to be an issue. Someone who reviewed this M3 model wrote that it has a dual personality. Once I had driven one, I agreed. What could be more fitting than an exhaust that gifted the car with a "voice" for both "personalities"? At the risk of stating the obvious, I'm sold. I'm almost forgetting something... The pics are awesome. The vids are appreciated. Many thanks to you and GTM for sharing. Of course, you really didn't have a choice did you once an angry mob was roused to action? Nice work. Congratulations. Enjoy. |

1. I don't have exact measurement on ground clearance from stock to KSG. I can tell you that the canisters do not hang low and while you can see the canisters when you are eye level, they are much more hidden when viewed from a more normal angle. Just imagine what the OEM looks like at eye level. 2. There are five levels from which you choose two. Those are the levels the exhaust is built towards. Each exhaust is made on a per-order basis as one can understand since it's very customizable. You simply pick your two desired sound levels and relay that information during the ordering process. 3. I picked sound level 2, for my quite mode. I would say it just sounds better than stock. I believe if you pick sound level 1, it is advertised as being quitter than stock, which I did not want. Hope this helps. Quote:
I would like to add, after more driving tonight, the droning I described earlier seemed a bit reduced. Just FYI. Will need more seat time and burn-in time to tell. Thanks again for the kind words. Hope the review helps you make your decision. |

Adding pics of valve opened and straight down shots from behind. IMO, the tips are spot on.
Well, the lighting got dimmed down between various uploads. I will have to get some more light in there. Anyway, the vacuum sound is very cool when you switch, besides the actual benefits! You can hear the vacuum sound much better in person and the mechanical operation doesn't overtake it as in this video.Until youtube updates... |
