I originally steered clear of supplements. I just ate properly and worked out every day. I made some great improvements, like losing 18-20lbs of fat, and I put on plenty of miscle, but I wanted to see more than what I got out of 6 months of non-stop working out, so my friend suggested Super Pump 250.
I've been taking this stuff for a month and a half now and I feel huge differences, at the gym and in the mirror. My shoulders, biceps, chest, stomach and hipflexors are so much more defined. After reading the ingredients I noticed that there's creatine monohydrate in it, but I don't know the amount. I don't really care cuz this stuff is fucking gold. I weighed 223-225lbs approx 8 months ago. I wasn't in my best shape, and I'm now down to 200 flat (height: 6'). Definitely worth trying.

No offense to your business addy. I used to spend money like crazy on this and that. I think it was more psych than actual results. For me.
I take a good multi/fish oil/low dose aspirin and eat about 8 small meals a day. After gym. Just some 2% milk with a banana and a big scoop of low fat vanilla yogurt in the blender. Sometimes a squirt of choc malt syrup. |

I take Whey or Casein, multi-vit, fish oil (salmon), flax seed.
As for creatine, I'm taking Green Magnitude. I like it a lot and have noticed a difference in my lifts and recovery. Only about half way through the bottle, and only take it on work out days. |

I have a pretty decent sized supplement stash, but I stick to the basics. Whey, whey/casein/egg blends, creatine, fish oil, multi, green tea extract, glucosamine, etc. Whey is not magical... its a convenient way to take in protein. The only time that you can really argue that its better than lean meat or fish is PWO really, and even then you can eat whole foods and be fine (assuming that your pre-wo nutrition is in place).
Aside from the few basics (fish oil, glucosamine, etc) creatine has been proven to be effective, and is really one of the only supplements to be shown time and time again in REAL studies (ie. not funded by the supplement company themselves) to actually work. It has shown to be safe on your kidneys with adequate water intake, but I still prefer to cycle my creatine use despite common practice out of personal preference. BTW, you can eat red meat all day long, but you won't get anywhere near the recommended 5g per day that people supplement with.

Also, there is some truth in "I think it was more psych than actual results"
but when we take supplements and think that our muscles gonna grow by themselves... Remember, a proper work-out is prolly only 30% of your success... Food and Sleep are another 60% i 'd say... other factors are 10%. IMHO |

You can search for links to studies, which you can read and decide for yourself. Keep in mind that you don't NEED creatine, but if you were asking for supplements that actually work aside from supplementing your diet (ie. protein/fish oil) then creatine is pretty much the only supplement that I would recommend.

Oh, btw, for everyone saying that whey is giving them gas... try using whey isolate instead of a whey concentrate blend.

Boosted, what's your favorite whey brand? And I remember you talking about making shakes with oats, whey, milk, and peanut butter...I'd like to start making those too, how much of each ingredient should I use?
