Yes, go with tire rack and save $.04!
Seriously, if do go with Griot's, keep in mind that their shipping charges are usually kind of high. Tire Rack might be cheaper on shipping.

I use this ....
http://www.chemicalguys.com/Microfib..._p/mic_491.htm It's thin enough so that you can pull it through the spoke and do some up and down motion to get it clean. It's very quick and effective.

They don't know how to properly wash. You probably have a ton of swirl marks.

I use a cheap version of this as well. Please, please stop bitching and using brushes and go with a wash mit. It takes about 2 minutes per wheel. if you are anal and want to clean beyond the spokes then use a brush but for the average person go with a wash mit.

I cleaned my rims today - just jack the car up a corner at a time, pull the rim off, wash the back first and then the front. I use a cloth to go between the spokes - it's easy when you can push it through and then hold it from inside and outside and slide it along.
It's quick, they get completely clean and you can wipe the dust off the brakes while you're at it. Seriously - that's the way to wash the wheels. Everything else takes longer and does a poorer job. |

P21S GEL! The gel is not as thick as you think it would be. It is just a more concentrated P21S.
Do the brake pads in the E9x M3s coat the wheel with as much dust as the E46 M3? I had the 18" wheels on my M3. They were a real PITA to clean -- my fingers would get banged up trying to get in between the spokes and the brake dust was still there. P21S gel was the ONLY thing that ever worked for me. Spray it on, let it sit, then hose it off. Piece of cake. If it didn't get everything the first time I would just spot spray it a second time.

I had 3 of the Zymol tool shown in the pics & it does work well but eventually the bristles all fall out no matter how good you are with caring for it. The plastic holding the bristles also tends to crack.
