2026 Stop Delivery Notice for 7 and 8 Series?

Yesterday I drove 5 hours from Atlanta to Charlotte, NC to pick up my 2026 840i. 30 minutes from the dealership, the sales manager called and said there was a "Stop Delivery" order for the 7 and 8 series that was issued Thursday night. He had no details and throughout the day, tried to get answers but to no avail. I drove back to Atlanta without the car.

When resolved they will deliver the car to me.

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Looks like you're working with Hendrick BMW in Charlotte. I had the unfortunate experience of buying a CPO Z4 from them a few weeks back. Highly uncommunicative. It got to the point where I had to cc the Executive General Manager (find his email on the Hendrick website). Once I cc'd him, I got a response within hours instead of the days that I was waiting.
