1 Week in driving the M3 after it started running. I am 385 miles in and the engine feels SUPER. I haven't rev'd the car past 5k or done more than 1/3rd throttle. Engine idles just like a stock S65 and revs wonderfully.

Some small leaks I need to get addressed which could just be power steering or a very very small oil leak.

Finally got the AEM Oil Pressure Gauge working correctly, now I have oil temp, oil pressure, and coolant temp for review during track sessions.

New suspension feels great, the stiffer valving of the MCS 2ways and stiffer springs made little difference to ride quality (which I am so happy about).

Did complete the carbon intake system with adding my Dinan intake elbow (which was previously MS). Now the plenum, elbow and intake box lid is all carbon, can't wait to rev this thing to 8k!

I have 200 more miles before I can get at it and setup a dyno tuning session with Randy from Epic.

Fingers crossed it all continues progressing.

Thanks,

Rubin

Great news all around.

I look forward to seeing the dyno results. And a video of the S65 singing !

Cool. If it's as nice as it looks I can print off a bunch if anyone wants them, filament is cheap. I've found a couple others but fit has been terrible and were not secure.

Yeah this has a mount system that utilizes the two screws the radio would use. I know my friend is saving every penny he can right now as he is taking helicopter flying lessons ($500/hour) so he may want to commercialize these or at least the modeling. Can't blame him but I will see what he wants to do.

Thanks!

Understandable. The modeling is the hard part!

More work done this weekend but not pics.

1. Eclipstech shift light. This is a lovely little unit for us not going full standalone. Only 3 wires (which is good for me as I am dumb) so hookup is pretty straight forward. Only issue is you have to splice into the ignition source wire on one of your coils. I had my friend who is an engineer do that part, lol.

2. OCT Composite Carbon Inner Door Sleeves. These are a nice piece and you can utilize your OEM door handles. I pop riveted them into place and will have them completed hopefully next weekend. Got them in four days from Lithuania (sp?) and the quality seems to be top notch.

3. Accusump AN lines. Accusump isn't 100% done yet but I am waiting for 1 more oil change to have the system as clean as possible. Until then figuring out my plumbing from the cooloer to filter housing to accusump. I am 95% of the way there but am done until I can measure out the final hose length. If you need AN fittings EVIL ENERGY on Amazon seems to sell great products.

4. Dyno Tuning is scheduled for 7/23. Video to come on that. Randy is ready to go and I am very excited to have that part finished.

Don’t know if they ever got their shit together but hard Motorsport was advertising rs-style door pulls that snapped into the OEM cavity. I tried getting them last summer but they were on backorder for months, maybe they’re good now?

I love those guys, I have the same stuff as well.

The Latvia parts are really well made, a lot of my CF goodies came from there..(not OCT specific) the next purchase would be doors, and a CF OE trunk.

Unless someone decides to buy my car before end of summer.

Yeah, I have had zero luck working with Hard Motorsports, tried for 2 months to get their brake rotor backing plates and they were super wishy washy. Sad because my friend Johan used to race for their GT4 team.

How did you attach a pull strap to close the door easier? Looks like a different location than what my sh!t track day door cards are located.

Also, a little disappointing they don't use the factory holes that the OEM door card uses, but the piece itself is super nice.

Is the plate stiff enough to be pulled on? The cf ones I had in the e90 were pretty flexible and I had to improvise another mounting point to get the pull handle to not just bow the door card out. Giant pain that never worked right.

Track day uses a screw location from the OEM door, that was the ONLY part that worked good from that kit, lol!

These OCT pieces are pretty sturdy but would love to mount to the door itself too. I'll have to dig into this more when I start doing the install. Only had time for pop riveting the door handles on yesterday.

Trying to recreate this for the OCT kit.
