Got mine at RMP Motors last year, which is in Etobicoke. Solid mechanic, but not a big people person so don't take the curt conversations personally.

Almost 3500 CAD pre-tax for parts and labour. I went with ARP bolts and VAC bearings, and had the engine mounts and cabin air filters done at the same time.

RMP is where I got mine done in 2023. Got motor mounts done at the same time. Took them a day for the install. I provided all the parts (BE bearings, ARP bolts, Bimmerworld mounts, new oil and gaskets). Cost was $2,325 plus tax (in 2023). Excellent work. Absolutely no issues since. Would go there again without hesitation.

RMP is where I had mine done when I had an e92 m3. They supplied everything, morning drop off, late afternoon pickup.

RMP RMP RMP.

These guys know what they're doing.

A good second option is Andre from Ecowagens in Newmarket, I'm sure he would take the job. He works on anything german but obviously specializes in Audis and VWs.

He's worked on my BMW, my friend's bmws and VWs in the past and my Uncle's mercedes.

I have two reasons I recommend him:
1. He is extremely honest and will go out of his way to show you if there are problems with the car but doesn't upsell on unnecessary stuff.

2. His background is actually as a mechanical engineer, and from what I remember he's done full on classic bug builds and conversions. He's very meticulous with how he works on cars which gave me peace of mind.

The downside is that he is frequently booked up and you usually need to book 1-2 weeks ahead, and secondly is in Newmarket which is far from where I live, but despite that I give him my business because of the two aforementioned reasons.

RMP.

wouldnt go anywhere else with that work.

Rocco has bailed me out of a few situations that regular shops just don't have the expertise to handle as efficiently.

+ another one for RMP. 100% GO TO RMP.

They did my rod bearings 3 weeks ago and the car drives fantastic.
They did this work and additional work in one day.
S65 ACL Race connecting rod bearings, ARP bolts, new engine mounts, oil pan gasket, oil & filter, manual transmission oil change, rear differential oil change, parking brake lubricate and adjust, cabin air filters changed, front lower underside piece replaced.

They know this job like the back of their hand, they do them all the time.
They've been around for over 20 years and are a no nonsense shop with an enormous, enthusiast centered clientele.

Their prices are more than fair and their knowledge and skill is master level.
I met Rocco when I picked up the car later that afternoon, and he was very friendly and discussed the work in detail. I will definitely return for other work and maintenance when necessary.

If you need to get this job done, send them an email and they'll get the ball rolling. Remember, they are not a large staffed dealership, more of a small family business type of outfit, so they are busy working on cars and may not be able to get the phone as often. (I tried calling a couple times initially, and found email more useful)

Hope this helps!

Rocco at RMP is the only guy who used to touch my cars when I had BMWs, and will be the only one who does when I get back into an e90 M3 (anyone selling a 6MT haha)

The guy is an allstar mechanic and straight up wicked guy overall. It is a family owned business and he goes above and beyond for his clients. I met him 15yrs ago (was actually recommended from a local BMW dealership oddly enough), and then met him again in the pits at our local track events. Big time enthusiast in general and extremely skilled driver!

I even used to call him up for suggestions and recommendations on cars/parts, and sometimes even just to ask him a question when I was performing my own work. You don't get that service anywhere else.

To the guy above who says he isn't a people person... he is, but sometimes you can catch him on a bad day. He is Italian after all... haha
