Would love to hear more about this intake as well. Anyone install it? Sound clips? Butt dyno? Just learned the GruppeM is 'open air' (the bottom half of the airbox) much like the ARMASPEED so that's out too.

HP shown on the dyno plot has been converted to CHP, not WHP. What conversion factor was used - 10%, 15% or 20%? Actual HP is really ~6-8 WHP. This could be attributed to changes in how the car was strapped down, different ambient air conditions (not stated), different fan position, dyno measurement errors, etc. Using a much larger filter (what’s the filter area difference?), larger elbow design with a long flat section, etc. doesn’t produce more HP than a simple elbow design. Resetting adaptations can show a ~6-8 WHP gain. Dropping in a higher flow stock filter with stock airbox cover, stock elbow and stock plenum will net you at least ~6-8 WHP. An overly complicated design doesn’t guarantee you’ll net higher HP gains. Another expensive aesthetic piece of CF engine bay bling.

Curious to see what the gains are once their CF plenum is added. They need to rerun the current configuration on the dyno before dyno’ing the setup with the plenum. Driving both intake designs for 30-45 min should eliminate any WHP bias. I have nothing against Infinity Design and I hope they make a great intake-plenum design. I’m just trying to point out their HP claims are based on an assumed drivetrain loss so calculated CHP is higher than actual WHP gains.

Infinity Design is having a massive Black Friday sale on their Intake Systems. More than 500 dollars in savings. If you’re on the fence about it, I would jump over. I bought this intake for my car and it was one of the best decisions I made. It’s just a masterpiece!

Infinity Plenum with large trumpets, OEM+. Smooth high quality carbon, made to last, looks good in the engine bay, will sound amazing since it’s more than just a carbon lid. Mic drop. But seriously. Marrying this thing to my ID plenum. This is the way to go.

We’ve got an s85 m5 and the full plenum and intake system changed the entire experience from the sound to the performance gains. S65 will be just as refined, amplified and improved with the complete Infinity plenum with oversized velocity stacks and the oversized intake working in concert.

looks so cool...

Ok dumb question: is there a gasket that goes between the top and bottom pieces?
