Selling my lightly used Dinan SSK, I had it on my BMW E90 M3 for about 1-2k KM. Only selling because I am planning on getting a RTD shifter. It felt great, very precise like a rifle bolt. No added nvh or sound. Comes with all included hardware and my carrier bushing so you don't have to swap yours over.

Curious if you had any issues with this shifter you could point out… I’m looking at options for my e90 M3 and obviously it doesn’t show compatibility with it. Was there anything you needed to purchase to make it work better?

I believe it just worked as is. I eventually went back to the original with new bushings etc. Felt better for street driving.

Yeah I have a CAE that the previous owner installed and I cannot wait to remove it. I have one in my e46 race car and that’s okay since it’s loud and annoying already, but in the e90 I want civility and oem creature comforts lol. Not saving any time with a RTD / CAE / Kinematics etc. on your backroads or 0-60 and they place more wear and tear on the gearbox / synchros

How do you think the dinan felt compared to your factory refreshed stock set up?

Definitely! I've had RTD, Dinan and even auto solutions on past M cars but always go back to stock. Lots of people think stock feels bad but usually it's due to worn bushings, especially the selector rod foam insert.

Dinan felt good, but honestly it's been too long for me to remember lol

I was just telling a friend that, most people changing these parts out for more “race inspired” parts are doing so with old tired bushings and parts with 100k miles on them, with the thought that OEM is trash 😅. These cars are quite capable from the factory and most people don’t need to add a bunch of NVH trying to “improve” them.

I’m after an OEM+ build with mine, so slight sharpness added, but nothing annoying. I was thinking of going autosolutions bc of their good reputation, but now I’m thinking I could save money and time getting something closer to the factory feel… dinan seems to always do a good job with that it seems and they’re in stock, unlike autosolutions 2+

Yeah I'm the same, added nvh takes away from my enjoyment of the car.

The dinan and autosolutions both increase the effort needed to put in gear, factory is just right imo for the street. They do feel more direct when shifting but for me at least it wasn't worth it.

Went to install mine today and there’s play in the bearing it seems 🥲 so now we wait for answers… curious if you noticed any play with yours?
