Make sure radar is not selected and click the factory options and I think it's under Decode - set it to 360 degree view and it will be full screen, although it won't show the guide lines

DCT transmission here, did not have to tap into reverse light wire or ground.

Awesome glad to hear. I'm going to install mine later this week for my personal car.

I've had my P2000 unit installed for a few months now. It's perfect for my use case, which is to turn it on when I have to drive more than 5 minutes (only a few times per month). Two problems I've noticed:
  • No audio if I start the car in Mr12Volt mode, need to switch to factory radio briefly and then back
  • Intermittent half-second power cutout where the screen goes blank and audio stops, it's random as I'm driving down the highway, maybe every 15 minutes

Are these known issues?

I've had the "no audio" issue before on my previous (Black) box, I don't have it on the current one (Grey), is your firmware up to date?...

I've never had either of these issues (11 months with a P2000). The only issues I've had were occasional freezes, but updating my phone's AA software always fixed that

So did the install in the normal way but didn't do any coding beforehand, just the full physical installation. Put the key in, iDrive started up, flicked over to CD and "No Disc" was showing as a single disc only, not multi-disc. So it didn't change anything itself. I even videod that start up.
"OK", I thought "I'll just do the coding the normal way. Connected my ICOM up, laptop on INPA and checked connection and did a fault code check, all normal. Switched over to NCSExpert for coding, Expertenmodus, E89, VIN, CAS..... picked up VIN then failed with a notification of a faulty FA code read!!
Somehow it looks like the new P3000 box has buggered up the VO, so it cant be read, thus you cant code anything on the car.
As I was doing a Cruise Control retrofit at the same time I had to remove all of that as well, reinstall the old stalks and then managed to use Tool32 to reset the steering angle sensor. But I've left all of the Mr12volt installed as its not affecting the iDrive at all. I did check on my phone and could see the Mr12volt box.
I've sent an urgent request for help from Mr12volt, so I'm awaiting a reply.
Fortunately my customer was totally understanding, but I've spent two hours of my Sunday wasting my time and nothing to show for it. Was really hoping to report back some good news.
UPDATE....

I've finally had a response from Mr12volt. They say...
"...Please remove the P3000 unit from the MOST ring before coding"
To which I replied...
" SO is this guaranteed to now show the VO if I do this?..."
And their confirmation...
"Yes, please complete coding before adding the P3000 unit into the MOST ring."

So I've now arranged for my customer to come back to me so I can check this, but unfortunately that won't be until a week on Friday, but I will update this to confirm one way or the other.
TBH, I'm sceptical that the MOST ring connection could knock out the VO for coding, but I could be wrong, we'll see.
As I left the P3000 connected, it wasn't affecting the iDrive in any way, I'll have to take the headunit out, disconnect the MOST and replace it to standard, then unplug the iDrive controller plug and return it to standard also as well as the LVDS cable (I'm taking no chances!). So the car wont see the P3000 at all. Then I'll check with the laptop, if I can access the VO then I'll re-install the cruise I had previously installed and had to uninstall and then complete all of the coding, all at my expense! Moral of the story, just do the coding, it only takes 5 minutes, lesson learned

I have the no audio issue with the older DSP box.

My solution for this has been to not have carplay autostart, and then switch the CIC system to radio before I shut the car off.

Then whenever I start it, I just hit the cd button to go to mr12volt and then start carplay.

This is one of the reasons when adding a backup camera, I'm going the OEM retrofit route, as I dont want that tied to the P2000.

Two things I'm not having luck with:

Can't pick up/end calls with steering wheel control - kind of a bummer because I now have to take my focus off the road/wheel whereas with OEM, I didn't.

Backup view is limited to 2/3 screen, the other 1/3 is still occupied with the PDC overlay (I don't have PDC). Disabled the split screen via OEM settings.

On both of these I asked CS at Mr12v and they said it can't be changed. Maybe I just got a lazy CS rep, anyone else have luck with remedying this?

The camera will pop on and then go back to the factory radio.

It's a little janky because it'll sometimes flash the camera for a moment even if you're not in reverse. Lots of little quirks like that.

You can get full screen by going to the Factory settings and selecting 360 degree view under the Decode Options section.I'm going by memory here so could be wrong on the specifics, but I have it set that way and have full screen for my camera, although guide lines aren't visible in this view (and nor is PDC, which affects me since I have it, but the PDC sound still works at least)
