Gorgeous car. Great idea to PPF the roof. Mine is blistered badly. Planning to get it redone this year. Thanks for the pics.

Did seasonal maintenance, had my shop install a do88 DCT cooler, swapped in some PFC08 pads and did a track day last weekend.

Today I drove to lunch and took a pic of her parked all by herself.

Love this car so much.

Oil change day. Knocked out the e92 m3 and the g20 m340i.

I always forget how slowly that 10w60 drains out. The 0w20 in the m340i drains out in 1/4 of the time.

After ~18yrs of S65 oil change/drain experience, method works for me - - slightly warmed [~90F] engine oil temp provides more favorable flow rate, non-scorching 'handling' along with overall improved 'volume out' drains.

11 years of oil changes here on the s65. I always do the oil changes in self serve garages as I just prefer to use a lift, and they dispose of the oil for you.

As a result of driving to the shop for the oil change, I'm fully warmed up. I just have the t6 on an extension. Crack it loose with the ratchet, then detach the rachet and turn it by hand the rest the way out by hand with the extension and t6. Using the extension gives you enough distance to pull the plug out without getting hot oil on yourself.

10w60 is just thick oil. The 0w20 in the m340i is like water in comparison.

Took my Moonstone-Rust Brown E92 M3 out of winter storage.

Also, I bought another car...something very very special.

Opened up one front brake caliper to check condition after 105.000 km (18yrs and last 5 winters with oversalted roads). When rear steel metal pistons were heavily corroded then front pistons has only light corrosion on outer ring.
What material is used for front piston, anodized aluminum alloy or some powder metal? Surface finish look like some gun metal gray light version.

To seat dust cover correctly I found some 3" exhaust tube cut-off suit perfectly for special service tool, optimal width 17 mm +/-
