Hello. installed my G1 kit. very inconsistent boost. knew something was up. sometimes get good boost from a stop or very low speeds, get almost no boost rolling from higher speeds in higher gears when I WOT. barely beat an m x40i in a rolling race on the highway. that just isn't right for the G1 kit.
So I smoke tested the plenum. I found that there was a leak at the idle control hose, of course it's underneath everything. Would a leak at the idle control hose be responsible for the super inconsistent boost and loss of power that I am seeing? Solution is to remove the plenum and reinsert/re-tighten the hose? https://streamable.com/9h4qnt |

yes fix it. you need boost in the line to the blow off valve to push against the diaphragm so if you have inconsistent vacuum or boost reference youll have issues from the system. is this the large hose that runs from the plenum to the icv?
