27B7 Code

Hey everyone, I just picked up a 09 E92 to turn into a HPDE/track car. I’m getting this code and the car goes into limp mode. I looked and didn’t see any post with this exact code.

27B7 DME: Vacuum Pump, Brake booster, activation

I have a Foxwell NT510 Elite scanner. Has anybody had this code before? By the description I would think I need to replace the vacuum pump but would like any insight/help before I just start ordering parts.

you may want to do some diag involving the brake vacuum pressure sensor. right next to the brake fluid reservoir.

Yeah, I looked at that sensor and it looked fairly new and most posts I read were they replaced the sensor was a different code, but replacing the sensor is a lot cheaper to try first than the vacuum pump. Should I just replace the sensor or pull the hose off and check for a clog/clean it?

Can you hear the vacuum pump prime when you first start the car? How do the brakes feel, are you getting assistance from the booster? What trouble shooting have you done? You aren't giving much info to go on. If it were the brake pressure sensors on the MC, I would imagine you'd be getting a different code, related to DSC or ABS. At least that's what you get in the e46 when those are faulty, but they also don't have the vacuum pump like the e9x. Sounds like it's the pump from the description of the code, maybe wiring, maybe the booster... is there a check valve inline with the hose, maybe that?
