Dry sump oil pump for S65 engine
Hi all, I am rebuilding an Aquila CR1 that has the S65 V8 engine. It came in many pieces so we are in the process of repairing / rebuilding and I sent the oil pump away for service. It is an Auto Verde pump but the guy there thinks it could be off a Chevy v8 rather than the BMW which has a much higher oil flow rate at around 45 litres per minute.
He is asking for more flow rate info before he can spec the pump but all the info I can find only says 45 LPM, he has asked for the rate at different RPM but I can't find an info on that, any ideas? Thanks, Russell |

I know former 240 s14 has been down this rabbit hole recently. I do not know if he has this information or maybe Rogue does? If I remember correctly, he has been working with them.

Hello and greetings from the States! LOL.
Not sure LPM as the engineering brief is in #Merican units. Take a read though, this is directly off Rogue's website: https://www.rogueengineering.com/ass...5_Sprocket.pdf I can tell you the stock system uses a scavanger pump and a pressure pump. They run off the same single chain and are not suitable for a build like the one you posted, lol. Any questions please let me know, happy to help anyway I can. Rubin |

Thanks Rubin, that's a very detailed document! Not so much on flow rate though.
The oil pump guys are asking more about flow rate at different rpm which is difficult to find as I think the original internal pump various the flow rate automatically. 45 litres per minute is all I can find but at what RPM I don't know. |

This is why I am doing an oil accumilator. Goal is to have another 2-3qts of oil primed for the engine under hard cornering. Rubin |
