Some more teasers while we wait for the short shifter kit to arrive so we can finally lower the car and then... tease you some more.

Limp mode prevented!

I don't know what to do with these left overs, perhaps a visit to the local goodwill will solve that for me:

Jokes aside, because the previous owner parked it outside for several months, we found... biological evidence of a rodent in the engine bay, which we cleaned up with utmost conviction.

Engine bay cleaned up nicely. New cabin filters, Carbon grill (Chrome grill looked awful), Dinan CF strut tower braces, and Eventuri Intake. Only thing keeping us from starting the car is the shift linkage which is en route.

If this isn't trolling then a weird choice for a build like this to leave that out. Carbon plenums are popular for a reason. The sound they generate is 100% worth the cost.

I'm a pragmatist. Majority of the vehicle upgrades have been done in pursuit of performance. Noise would be nice, but 5K goes a long way to increase performance. A set of carbon doors are around 8K, and they shave 26kg or 57 pounds from the vehicle. That is way more tangible to me.

That, you gotta ask Fusion Motorsports. They live and breathe Titanium.

They are the biggest customer of Vibrant.

Sounds epic! Congrats

Worth the wait (and money) I'm sure. It's a clean and refined tone, in part due to the cats I believe. Looking forward to driving clips. Is tuning next?

Thanks. It's exactly what I wanted. Not overly loud, no rasp, good deep rumble, and no smell. It's civilized.

Can't wait to drive it in the summer. My plan is to break it in, change the oil, then put it on dyno. After that we'll tune it and put it on the dyno again. I wanna see the gains before and after the tune for a proper A/B test.

This is how much weight we've removed from the vehicle so far:

I don't yet have data on the weight of some of the parts we replaced such as the Ohlins or the Eventuri intake but they should be a bit lighter than OEM.

Fusion is currently making a titanium rear strut tower brace inside the boot. The extra rigidity should make the handling even better.

Did I mention we got a short shift linkage for the transmission? Can't wait to try it.

Gottagofast nice project & build...like your approach

Another significant weight reduction suggestion with multiple benefits - -replacement of OE seats capable of yielding ~60lbs savings [dependent on selection] along with improved driver feel, engagement and a more motorsport look.

Of course, I'm partial to IB/FR combo

Thanks!

Yeah, the stock comfort seats weigh 28.5kg/63lb, each. I've been looking at front seats for a while. I've been trying to get some carbon fiber seats that are also comfortable which is harder than it sounds. It's like finding the right size shoe that fits just you.

My first choice is Tillet B10's:

Name: Screenshot 2025-12-24 165940.png
Views: 257
Size: 1.01 MB

https://www.tillett.co.uk/car-racing...10-lotus-emira

At 5.5kg/12lb, they are exceptionally light and I've heard they are very comfortable too. They would shave a whopping 46kg/101lb from the vehicle while improving chassis feedback.

The other, more comfortable option I would go with is Recaro Cross Sportster CS. They come in the same color as my interior so that's a plus.

As a summer only vehicle, I would really like ventilated seats, but it's unlikely to happen.

exceptional build man.

I think all I have left to do is Carbon plenum, body panels and maybe a lightweight CF shaft and flywheel. I'm at the same place you are haha!

The exhaust is a piece of art and it sounds great. I appreciate your approach, which is to keep it from breaking windows on the street and in the car.
