Its been over a year ive had my TEsla model 3 as a daily driver...

If I were not allowed to WFH and had to drive into the office, I would absolutely own an EV (Tesla, or BMW's next i"x" model), but only because I would have a level 2 charger installed at my house. I don't take longer trips often, so I wouldn't have to worry about "where's the next charger" or having to sit for an hour if I couldn't get to a supercharger. Don't think I'd give up an ICE vehicle (such as my '25 M340) for longer trips. Many of the hotels I've stayed at have zero car chargers, so I'd have to go out of my way to charge rather than charging overnight - no thx.

Side note: I get confused when people use M3 to describe a Model 3. On Reddit, I see Tesla owners using that, and they go into the BMW subreddit using the same acronym. Name's taken .

I road trip quite a bit in western Virginia and West Virginia and in Pennsylvania. I have never seen a DCFC anywhere on the rural routes I take. I also occasionally take off-highway routes to Virginia Beach and I've never seen a DCFC station. The only Tesla station I have seen is in my hometown at the local Sheets, which is on a major route south through central Virginia. The Sheets has a giant parking lot and real estate is pretty cheap in my county. The 8 Tesla chargers have no cover for protection from rain or sun. Ironic and amusing is the 20 or so gas/diesel fuel pumps are well protected from the elements even though the average fill time is just 5 minutes.
