You're right, maybe new is the best option since most used ones that pop up are the entire intake kit and priced more than just the elbow new. Might find one discounted for a decent price.

FWIW - i had just the Eventuri plenum for about 6mo. just this last weekend i went ahead and installed the Eventuri intake (elbow and filter) and splurged on the lid too (they had a 4th of July sale for 15% off)
the sound went up about 20% its throaty af and sounds glorious - but admittedly so, i bought these recent pieces simply to complete the look. either way, if you can swing it, id reco just bite the bullet and buy new. |

im not sure how much of it is the lid. i guess you could do a very short run with your OEM lid off and see how that sound differnce is to you. then add back a few percentage points because the CF will translate more sound...but not as much sound as going w/o the lid.
unscientific i know, but at least something to go off of. |
