That's pretty, if you have money to burn I suppose.

I swear this isn't sour grapes – I believe I'd opt-out of having my picture and name published while taking delivery. Seems kind of douchey, if I'm being honest.

It pains me that we didn’t get this as a successor to the i8. Or even a replacement for the outgoing 8. I would have taken this to replace literally anything, but instead us lowly consumers got the X2 for our troubles.

These are actually so nice, I love. I wish they’d make this a more available model I think it would sell well. Also with iDrive 7 instead of 8 is huge for me. 8 is horrendous and makes so many things such as climate, lights, etc so much of a pain when it didn’t need to be. This is an amazing vehicle, hopefully they’ll bring back basic functionality and simplicity and options, because they’re quickly throwing it all away with iD8 and the most recent models since.

I second that!

Now imagine an iX3 drive train with 700-800 km of range and Gran Coupe 4-door body.
This would be an awesome ecofriendly grand tourer.

It's a really beautiful vehicle. The interior and exterior looks very high end. For the price, meh.

But I am sure the new owner is more than happy with it given his demographic looks.
And look, it has actual buttons and actual AC vents instead of joystick knobs and screens that glitch.

It's because it goes from the underground vault at the Welt straight to delivery.

For safety reasons, only very limited amount of fuel is stored in each vehicle's tanks while in storage (which may be weeks until the customer arrives).

Agreed, imagine they have the ability to design these beauties but refuse to bring them down the pipeline only to tease current m8 owners 😂

Seems like a cruel way to steer loyal customers away

Too true! I wasn’t over the 6 getting phased out (not including the GT, though I think BMW figured out the GT proportions with that one) but the new 8 made up for it, now that the 8 is going and the Z4 too… as long as the spiritual successor is even half of what the Skytop is I’d be happy.

These manual transmissions in everything dudes are such goofballs. “Ah yes, I’d really like to row through the gears in my ultra luxury vehicle”. Maybe add window cranks too since that’s what I grew up with!
