Honestly, the front doesn't look that bad at all, I like it. Side profile looks like a mini IX. Those tail lights though... not a fan, reminds me of the 2010 Lincoln MKZ

Much better looking then X3 IMO. Never thought I’d say that 😂It’s a mix of new and old. I wonder if they improved interior’s material and design since all new BMW’s are disappointing in this aspect to say the least.

I like the rear, not so much for the front.
But propbably dislike it a bit less than the current X3/G45 or M3/G80 or iX/ noses. Does that count as an improvement? As opposed to what? Another day, another ICE appliance. ![]()

I'm not really a fan of SUVs in general, but for an SUV I like this. Makes me hopeful for the i3.
What I don't like: capacitive buttons (ugh), lack of buttons in general, the ugly steering wheel, the steering wheel being white (yay for super-frequent cleaning), and the loss of the iDrive controller (double ugh). |

I don't think I will ever be a byer for X-anything. More pics and video below on BMW NA's web site, more impressions: - I am warming up to the new look, from all angles. - The front is the biggest "meah" with "baby buck tooth" look. Bumper is way too tall in proportion to the nose. Better than G80, but not awesome. - I kinda like the interior. - No physical buttons for radio, HVAC, etc. is a concern, but it's an industry trend. - No physical buttons on the steering wheel (touch only, haptic feedback) will absolutely SUCK. BMW designers had spent too much time drinking Tesla koolaid. - There appears to be a wide under-windshield LCD screen of some sort, A-pillar to A-pillar. I can't make out what on it, but might be a new-style instrument cluster layout? Quote:

Yep, under the windshield is a wraparound, customizable LCD. The left side, in the driver's immediate view, is the regular gauge-cluster stuff – speed, remaining charge, etc. The rest is customizable by dragging widgets on the main iDrive screen into whatever order you want them on the wraparound screen. It's actually my favorite feature of the NK design, thus far.
Capacitive touch buttons are the work of Satan. Hopefully they'll be gone in the LCI. |

For whatever reason the door handles on the electric cars with the flat sides look terrible.
The front if your talking about beaver teeth that is it! This makes the G8X grills look like works of art. I like the DRL's but thats it. I know the old school grill is coming back but for me its a hard pass |

I like it. Driving a 2021 X5 right now with 35K miles. But getting antsy to go electric and hate the IX.
Truth is if I made the jump today Cadillac Lyric is in the lead assuming I liked driving it. But this iX3 looks promising. I'll wait until summer to look again. |
